Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

I had sent the passport by Fedex and the fed ex tracker said it was delivered on the 24th december. But still my tracker is not activated. I am starting to worry.

Dont worry. It will come. CIC received mine on 20 dec. Yet my return tracker has not been activated. I wonder may be my visa officer took more days vacation on Christmas time and other didnt .

probably you need to bug them with email every day. Best time to email them is early morning (eastern time) so they will get back to you within couple of hours..thats my experience.

I sent them an email on Monday. They did not reply though.

My lawyer emailed them asking about the passports and when they would be returned today . Lets hope they reply or return the passports soon

i just received an email from CPP-O confirming that they received the passports.
I am so much relieved

"We have received your passport and your application is currently in queue to be finalized. Please note that we are unable to estimate the remaining processing time required for your application. If you have included a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned using this envelope. If you have followed the instructions on the website and kept note of the tracking number, you should be able to follow its delivery on Canada Post. If you did not provide a prepaid Xpresspost return envelope, your passport will be returned by regular mail. "

My status also says Out for Delivery on Dec 23rd,2013. Could you please guide me on which email address did you email CPP-O (is it OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca) and what did you mention in the subject line? Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Congrats! kijo. I am getting really worried as it has been more than 15 calendar days today and still the tracker is not activated nor CIC replies to the mail sent enquiring about the passports. Dont know what to do more to get them back with the visa stamped. It has been a very tough journey and when finally we see the light at the end of the tunnel then another delay. Hopefully the lesson of patience and perseverance ends soon
