Can I leave Canada after doing my landing?? Meaning i Cant wait for PR card, due to emergency I have to travel outside Canada for > 2months.

How will i come back to Canada after 6 months?? Please suggest.

I think you have to send them an email. They don't normally confirm the receipt of passports.

Hi... I have sent my passport from US to a friend in Canada, and he have sent it to CPP-Ottawa... Tracking says that it was delivered (signature of MS THOMAS).
Since I am just over-worried, I would like to confirm, did somebody get signature of MS THOMAS as well while it was delivered ?

I am in a situation and would be grateful if you could advise me.
I had received the request for passports for PR on Dec 16.
I sent the passports for 19th Dec through Canada Post Xpresspost.
The status of the package shows "Out for Deliver" since 23rd.Dec.
On inquiring from Canada Post, they said that the package was delivered to the mail room in the building on Dec 23 8:00 am.
Does someone else Xpresspost tracking status also show "Out for delivery" and did they receive any updates about their passports ?
Could you please advise what should be done ?

Mine is same situation. It still shows same status. I emailed CPP-O to know if and when they received, they said it was delivered on 27th Dec. I suggest you do same..

@Grishan...Yes..My delivery was signed by Mr.Thomas and I have my return tracker activated today.

However, in my case it was MS Thomas (not Mr)... Was it MR in your case?

"We are still awaiting your passports. The notes on your file do not currently state that the passports have been received. The mail containing your passport may have arrived at our office but has not yet been opened and associated to your file due to a high volume of correspondence received daily"

So i dont know what should be the next steps.

In this situation I would wait and email CIC again on Monday and check..

My lawyer had sent the passports by FedEx on 23rd December and i checked the Fedex tracker which states that CIC received it on 24th December and Signed by AMANDA. I also got the tracking number from the lawyer for the Prepaid Canada XPress post envelope for the passport return. But when I checked the tracker it says no such tracking number exists. When i checked if the tracking number is correct then my lawyer says yes it is right and it might show non-existence of the tracking number on the tracker if CIC has not used the envelope. Is this true ? I am just getting worried when they will return my passports.
