This is CEC forum and you may have to check the timelines for FSW applications..for CEC apps, the timeline to get the PP back has been around 2-3 weeks appprox...

Do you know why such a huge gap between June 2012 and August 2013?

hey friends,

just receive the email of requesting passports. because we are living out of canada , how should we process it?

1, should we send our passports to the canadian embassy in our home country or Ottawa ?
2, if we need to send back to canada (according to the email),how do they return our passports?by regular mail, or courier ? it will be quite risky to send passports through regular international mails

anyone went through similar situation and can share your experience ?

thanks a lot.

Friends, it has been 2 weeks since I sent the passport and still waiting. I was just thinking of any possible reasons which could delay the stamping...one of them which was bothering me a bit was that I did not write my application number on the X press post envelope but I did write a covering letter with all the details and put it inside the envelope...did anyone write the app number on the outside of the envelope?

Yahoo7. reeeeeeeeeeelax :)

You have done everything right. Your mail has reached CPP-ottawa.

More than likely, its just the que in which your passport is sitting and COPR to-be-printed. If you look at the tracker, very few lucky ones got it in less than 20 days.

So give it a week more before getting worried or anything like that.

Agreed :), but just wanted to understand how other members have done when sending the Passports. What about you?

Did you write the application# on the envelope?

No, i didnt. Even though i recall someone telling me to do that, but i didn't do that. Plus, i dont recall this instruction in the email. Perhaps there was and i was so excited just to send it. lol!

But we are ok. I'm sure many members have send their passports, without mentioning the application no. on the address slip on the envelope.

Trust me, we are good. Its aaaaall good :)

guyz, can someone pls tell me the difference btw copr and record of landing? are they the same? also, I will like to know whether I can apply for ohip and new sin # immediately after receiving my visa or I have to wait till I land? pls respond
