At the bottom left corner, there is a lot of space. You can put the application number there. I put "Application #:- EXXXXX"

Hi TDcec...I'm confused as to where exactly we are supposed to write the application no.

See, when sending the docs by Xpresspost, we can put everything inside the Xpresspost envelope. There are two small chits on which you have to write the to and from address. Do we have to write the application no. on those small chits?

Or...
do i need to use an extra envelope. Put the docs in a plain envelope and write the address on it and then the application no. on the side..and put this envelope in Xpress post envelope?

I did not mention Application# on Xpresspost envelope. I had a covering letter, containing the details of my application.

Hi Mohinder,

This thread is for a different immigration stream called Experience Class. Not sure how much different would be the FSW vs. CEC in the passport stage. Thought to clarify this to you, incase you think that timelines are not matching with applicants in your immigration stream - FSW. You may search for the relevant thread through the FSW forum link below:

All the best.

Please do not confuse FSW application with CEC applications.
Thanks,

You don't need to write your application number on the envelope. CIC's instruction says "Please quote your application number on your correspondence and send the package to one of the following addresses:". Which means you need to mention application number on the covering letter. Having that said, there is no harm in mentioning application number on the envelope either.

Hi Calgaryboy - How do you found out that CIC has sent your passport on Tuesday??

I emailed CIC asking for an update

Thanks Calgary boy. I have sent them many mails with my travel details, i am not getting any response. I am travelling on 6th July, they received my passport on 23rd May, looks like i need to change the travel dates.
