I went to land at fort erie as well. I didnt do uturn, however the US custom officier actually instructed me how to do a u turn (i guess lots people do that).

I think you could always ask them to tell you how. :)

At the bottom left corner, there is a lot of space. You can put the application number there. I put "Application #:- EXXXXX"

For those who wish to send a cover letter, along with their passports, I have created a template, which I used. Please change it accordingly wherever required. Again, this is not mandatory. Please use it at your discretion.
