The situation is this:

I got my confirmation to be an eligible sponsor, and my wife got a message saying that they need a criminal record check from her. She is from the United States. We got the message, but they asked for the record check to be submitted by April 20th, but it was going to take 12 weeks to get the criminal record check. At this point, we had only a week to get the Canadian government the record, not going to happen, so we sent a message with an image of the fingerprints and application form for she was sending to the FBI to get her record back, but we sent this message/email to the immigration offices a good 10 days before April 20th and we haven't gotten word back yet? Is it normal to not hear back from them?

I am afraid that yes, it IS normal NOT to hear back from them!

Hopefully they processed your message and extended the date. All you can do is crack on with getting the police certificate (I am sure CIC are aware of the normal timescales for US certificate)!

Hi, can i ask you a question? When did you send your application and how many weeks before they will email you the AOR to update the SA and PA that they already opened your application? Thanks a lot

If that is a question for me, all of that information is in my own timeline right under the Ontario flag of my id panel on the left.

We got the email for our application in late march, and the deadline was for april 20th for her to get her police cert in, and we sent the message that we were sending in the prints and form to the FBI to get her police cert about 2 weeks before the 20th of april.
