Waiting + 3 months since test/interview to DM. Anyone else?

I doubt the random check is true. I think everyone goes through the checks.

As per my experience, the wives never went through background checks only the guys suffered the background check delay. Maybe you are right and I am wrong...again these are all guesses based on everybody's personal experience and hard to build a pattern if you don't have an access to some many cases. Good luck for everyone here including me as I am still waiting on my DM. I just haven't waited as long as you guys.

I did some reserach on old 2016 threads and my conclusion:

This backgroud check that delaying DM can take a lot of time ... some got DM up to 7 months after test

So i will just forget about it because if i don't it can be a looonnnngggg summer

I have not done anything against the law so it's just a matter of time ...

I dont think security check has anything to do with the interview with citizenship officer nor your travel records for some reasons in my case:
1) I received FP request in the same day of receiving test invitation so it was not related

2) I never left Canada since I came here so my travel record is ZERO so it has nothing to do with travel records otherwise I should not have been picked

I gues it depends on country of origin especially middle easterners li

My only explanation is there is some lazy officers ... maybe all the checks are done but need someone to have a look to update and the officer is taking time to do that

I am not buying that every person is different and we can't compare

My friend and I have identical application from the same country ... even he traveled more than me outside canada and already had oath

I was not in a rush as i was expecting a one year processing time but seeing people get processed fast while i am waiting makes me VERY frustrated

Congrats. At the time of interview did the officer mention if your security check was still in process?

Does anyone know if there is a way to check the status of security clearance? I know i can find out about the detail of my application by requesting a GCMS note but that does not say anything about the processing details of the security clearance.

Nothing does as it contains classified material.

I found a link that says you can. Does Anyone has any experience? Its not classified since everyone should be able to access his info according to privacy act law.

I suppose you could submit an ATIP request to CSIS and see what they have on you. I'd bet it would be redacted, too.

No, after the interview she said ,we will review your doc one more time and if we need any more information. We will contact you.
