Visitors Visa

Hi,

I am a PR living outside Canada.

I have got a job in Canada and would be going there soon.

I would like to apply visitors visa for my spouse, so that she can accompany me to Canada.

Would there be any problem in getting visitors visa, if i send my PR card along with her document.

I would apply her PR after going to Canada.

Please advice.

What country are you and your spouse from?
To get a visitor's visa, she has to show proof that she will leave Canada before her visa expires. The visa officers usually don't believe someone with a Canadian spouse in Canada will leave Canada, so in your situation a temporary visa will be difficult to get. However, she can try. She has to show proof of ties to her homeland: a lease/mortgage/property deed, money in the bank, a letter from her boss giving her time off, proof of enrollment in school, etc.

She'll need a lot of proof that she will return to India to get a TRV. However, once you are back in Canada you can sponsor her for a PR visa as your wife. The New Delhi visa office is one of the fastest in the world.
