Hi Raman,

1. For how long does your brother want to visit? What is the purpose of his visit?

2. Will his wife and daughter accompany him?

3. Does he own any property/land? Or have a rent agreement in his name?

4. Does he live with any other dependent family like your parents, in-laws?

5. Are his savings in liquid cash or locked-in?

Cheers

1. For how long does your brother want to visit? What is the purpose of his visit? 2-3 weeks, purpose of visit is visiting a friend.

2. Will his wife and daughter accompany him? No, But what are the pros and cons of them visiting with him.

3. Does he own any property/land? Or have a rent agreement in his name? No he does not own anything, as everything is still on my father's name.

4. Does he live with any other dependent family like your parents, in-laws? Yes, My father lives with my brother.

5. Are his savings in liquid cash or locked-in? All the saving is in liquid cash but it is scattered in various accounts and those accounts are joint accounts like one joint account( me and my brther) has 500,000 INR, another my brother and my sister in law has one joint account that one has 300,000 INR. Then my father has 200,000 INR in his account. We have immovable asserts of worth 75,00,000 (150000)

1. For how long does your brother want to visit? What is the purpose of his visit? 2-3 weeks, purpose of visit is visiting a friend.
He must include an invitation letter from his friend + copies of the friend's immigration status and passport.

He must prepare a day-by-day plan of what he intends to do during his visit with expense estimates like a typical tourist + to meet his friend. And, prove that he can pay for this itinerary + airfare.

Do NOT limit his purpose of visit to only wanting to meet his friend.

2. Will his wife and daughter accompany him? No, But what are the pros and cons of them visiting with him.
Your brother does not have any strong ties.... only his employment + his wife and daughter.

I suggest that his wife and daughter do NOT apply.

3. Does he own any property/land? Or have a rent agreement in his name? No he does not own anything, as everything is still on my father's name.
He cannot show your dad's property/assets as his own.

Does he have a Power of Attorney to represent your dad for these properties/land? If yes, has he used this PoA?

4. Does he live with any other dependent family like your parents, in-laws? Yes, My father lives with my brother.
He must include proofs that he/his family/your dad live at the same address + any evidence to show he takes care of your dad. For example, if he pays for medical insurance of your dad.

5. Are his savings in liquid cash or locked-in? All the saving is in liquid cash but it is scattered in various accounts and those accounts are joint accounts like one joint account( me and my brther) has 500,000 INR, another my brother and my sister in law has one joint account that one has 300,000 INR.
There must be no large, last-minute deposits + nothing borrowed from anyone.

Your brother must include letters from each of the joint bank account holders stating he can use the funds in that account for his Canada visit.

Then my father has 200,000 INR in his account. We have immovable asserts of worth 75,00,000 (150000)
He cannot include this as he does not own it.

Your brother must prepare his documents properly as he does not have strong ties (except for his family and employment) + no travel history.

Two questions which the visa officer may ask:
1. Why your brother wants to visit Canada for his first trip abroad + to meet a friend (if he does not have any relatives in Canada).

2. Why would your brother want to spend a significant part of his savings on a holiday to Canada?

I recommend that your brother must prepare a very strong purpose of visit.... and not just to meet a friend halfway across the world

Can we have a invitation letter from a friend who is canadian citizen and american green holder living in America right now.

Can we Affidavit of support from my father or it has to be power of Attorney only but if its POA specifically then it would be made in recent days, does it effect the case?

They both have same address on national IDs.

My father does not have medical insurance because after certain expenses his department from which he retired pays for his medical expenses as he was govt employee.

These amount been there from way over 6 months already.

Do you have any list of documents he include with his application?

What should be the answer for that?

2. Why would your brother want to spend a significant part of his savings on a holiday to Canada?
What should be the answer or that?

Is there any negative effect of getting a invitation letter from a friend who is 5 or 6 years younger then my brother and plus he recently invited his father on super visa.

Thanks

It may not really help your brother..... because you'd have to prove that his friend who lives in the US will visit/be in Canada at the same time when your brother visits.

A letter of support from your dad would not help.

I suggested a POA only to make your brother's case somewhat stronger. If your dad manages his properties/assets then a POA would serve no purpose as a tie for your brother.

Do you have any list of documents he include with his application?
There's no standard list. Each applicant's case is unique. Having said that, you may want to see the Document Checklist/Visa Office instructions for India.

Basically, your brother must prove that he has adequate finances + strong ties to India + a genuine purpose of visit.

You could post the list of documents which your brother intends to submit. We can advise better then.

1. Why your brother wants to visit Canada for his first trip abroad + to meet a friend (if he does not have any relatives in Canada).
What should be the answer for that?
Only your brother can answer this one.

For example, as he possibly has multiple hosts = is he visiting one friend/many friends/or visiting for some other reason?

2. Why would your brother want to spend a significant part of his savings on a holiday to Canada?
What should be the answer or that?
Again, only your brother can answer this one.

9. I recommend that your brother must prepare a very strong purpose of visit.... and not just to meet a friend halfway across the world
What should be included to make it strong?
Genuine purpose of visit (he must really work hard to convince the visa officer for this aspect) + strong ties (normally, property ownership/ family ties/ employment or business/ previous travel history, etc) + finances to afford the visit

Cheers

Age of the host has no impact on an invitation letter for a TRV

It's not necessary to notarize the invitation letter for India applications. In fact, even a scanned/emailed version will suffice (i.e. not the original signed letter)
Thank you

It means even if invite my parents to visit me, I can write a letter and sign/stamp it should work.?
