Anyone applied for Visitor Visa after September update?

I've applied on September 12 in the new portal. Still waiting for updates

Got an update today
Application submitted: Sep 14 (outside canada)
Refusal letter: Oct 28

Refused because of the following reasons:

"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as temporary resident
based on your family ties in canada and india
based on your purpose of visit"

I have stated my purpose as visiting to celebrate anniversary which is a true reason! she is working in India and for sure she will have to leave back anyways

at this point i have no idea what kind of proof that i can submit

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, I thought it was not necessary, as we thought of booking it only after getting the VISA

That's correct, applied through the portal after Sept 7th. even we also had the other visitor application applied before this September 7th update. Got update for both. the first application ignored, second application (after sep 7) refused

Return ticket is important. Don't put going ticket but ticket to return is proof that you will be back

I will book tickets and reapply then, any other strong reason that you suggest to put in the application?

A return ticket is not considered as strong proof since you can cancel it once you are in Canada.

It shows the intent. Biggest proof is probably a house or big property in wife's name

What is your status in Canada? Did you attach her employer's letter which shows her rejoining date?

It shows the intent. Biggest proof is probably a house or big property in wife's name

Yeah I know but intent is not enough they need solid proof. If you go through the threads in this forum you ll find that the officers refused the application even if return tickets are booked.

Yeah one must also apply letter from employer about the rejoining date.
