Mother has multiple entry visitor visa for 10 years.
-I was hoping that 2 years entry will be granted as she applied for super visa but only 6 months were granted.

Question:

1) First option is to extend stay and ask for 18 months extension as she should have got 2 yrs entry under super visa? or it will depend on the officer how much extension they grant?

2) Is going to US/Canada border an option and extend Canadian visitor visa entry for another 6 months? Note: she doesn't have US visa.

1. The supervisa allows a person UP TO 2 years; it in no way entitles them to 2 years. The actual length of stay is entirely up to the CBSA officer upon entry.

You can apply to extend her stay; it will be up to CIC to decide how long to grant her.

2. A border run is risky.
