I submitted visitor visa record almost 6 weeks but still didn’t hear anything. Is it normal? Is anyone facing same situation?

Normal. Processing is around 4 months.

This thread is visitor records so why not happy because you are in Canada and on maintained status.

You can only stay up to 6 months on a TRV. You are out of status after that point If they applied for visitor record before the 6 month lapses then they are on maintained status until decision is made. This has nothing to do with visa expiry.

This thread is called Visitor Visa Record so for people in Canada who extended their stay by applying for a visitor record. You applied for a TRV so ask question elsewhere and state country.

I still didn’t get my answer correctly. I said I apply for Canada vacation visa since May 2 2024 with biometric until now I haven’t heard anything it’s 5 months now is there any hope

We applied for my MIL's vistor visa record in April but still havnt heard anything from immigration yet. she is going back to home country in two weeks now. not sure what to do now in this situation.
