I have applied for my spouse sponsorship in the month of Aug2015, in the mean while I am planning to apply for a TRV for my wife to visit me. can some one send me the invitation letter for visitor visa on my email id catchmeharsha @ hotmail.com

Guys i Have applied PR for my wife last december and Process will be ending soon in a month or two. In the mean while if my wife lands here in Canada through visitor visa, If she gets Passport request during her stay in Canada , Do any one knows where to submit the Passport for Visa Stamping , Is it in CPC-Ottawa ?? Also after the Passport get PR Stamped, will a Border crossing in US will enough to complete all the process ??

Hello Arvind,

Yes you have to send her passport with that PPR letter to Ottawa. If you both have US visitor visa then you can go US and come back. If you don't have US visa then they will give you decline to enter in US form which you have to show at canadian border. That's it.

I have been quite active in this forum and trying to help as much as I can. I encourage not only you but everybody else to help others as well.

Yes you have to submit the passport to Ottawa location. If you have US visa, you can cross the border and enter back otherwise they will cancel the visitor visa for canada and stamp your PR on passport. There are many people who have done it on this forum as well as some of my friends. Don't worry. relax.

I see that your timeline and my timeline are quite similar. My wife's PR application timeline is as follows:

Application filed: July 15, 2015
Application received by CIC Mississauga: July 16, 2015
AOR1: August 18, 2015
SA: September 15, 2015
File Transfer: September 15, 2015
AOR2: September 22, 2015

I checked my ECAS system and it currently says PR application status "in process" and SA status also "in process". When I click on PR application status it says following:

We received Mrs. (my wife's) application on July 16, 2015
We started processing your application on September 18, 2015

My question is: Did you receive similar ECAS notifications? What do they mean by "we started processing your application"? My understanding is that this means they have opened our application and are currently verifying all the documents, photos etc etc. Is this correct? If this is the case, then I am very much surprised and confused how NDVO operates. I am waiting for someone to get PPR who has similar notification in 2015. If someone does get it, then I would conclude that it is a randomized process and not a sequential process which I feel will be quite unfair to the applicants who applied before may be early 2015 or late 2014. I guess someone has to really go the NDVO office and see what are they doing and how are they doing. I think we should all write a letter to CIC complaining about outland offices on how they operate. This is not a streamlined process and the outland visa offices have to properly tell us or at least update the status from time to time and also let us know at least if it is a random process or sequential process which will help the applicants to be mentally prepared and know what and when to expect otherwise just expecting something in air does not help.

Anyone, please share opinions or comments who have similar timelines as mine and have similar notifications in ECAS.

My ecas status shows the same thing! i hope this is a new trend since june that is being followed at many visa offices. As soon as we receive the AOR2, we get these lines added, infact well before that. this doesn't signify that the files are worked on randomly. This is just a new process. we need to wait until we get to hear any 2015 applicants getting DM or PPR. I am pretty sure visa offices follow sequential order depending on the DM or PPR that we get to c!

Ditto for me too...almost the same timeline as yours Vinod.

Verbal SA: September 14, 2015
Formal SA: September 21, 2015
AOR2: September 18, 2015

Both SA and applicant status shows as "In process". They havent updated the sponsor eCAS yet. Only the applicants eCAS mentions receipt of AOR2 on September 18.
