@Nabaaf,

Yes you are correct. You do not need to fill IMM 5409. It is only for common law partner.

Cheers,
Vinod

@ Telia,

Well for visitor visa if in london there are multiple VFS visa offices who process tourist visa then you can apply from some other visa office also. There is no compulsion that you have to apply for tourist visa in the same visa office where you applied for PR also.

All the best!!

Cheers,
Vinod

@ shwemir,

I think you are thinking too much. It does not matter. They are not going to ask anything but even if the "worst case " scenario happens which is very highly unlikely you always have the answer that you applied for visitor visa and that you wanted to visit your husband while your PR is in process. They cannot say anything after that. Don't worry too much. Relax. Just prepare all your documents, if you have the plan of staying till you get the PR over here then I think you can resign the job or take sabbatical or whatever is the best option. In my case, my wife has resigned her job and she is going to come here soon. Our plan is to wait here till PR comes. So, if you think you are also in the same situation I would advise you also to do the same.

Cheers,
Vinod

Ya I am too much paranoid I guess but it's jus that I am banking on TRV since PR wait times are killing , but at the same time I don't wanna rush into the TRV thing and ruin the PR process hence thinking all the aspects thoroughly before applying.
Also hearing this from someone who's successful in getting the visitor visa kinda gives some positive hopes so I kinda keep on bombarding with all such questions, thanks a ton for patiently answering all the queries it means a lot....

I am glad to inform you all that I just received Visitor Visa till the expiry of my passport. I thoroughly followed this thread and would encourage everyone to give it a try.

Cheers!

Hello Vnarayan !

Congratulations for getting the TRV for your wife !!
I need an advice on the following matters, from you regarding - Applying for TRV for my wife currently living in India.

1) Some says applying for TRV has negative effects on the PR application in process ?
2) Did you submit the Invitation letter and the Solemnly declaration letter separate or as one letter ?

As I need some help in writing those letters, if you can share your letters that would be much appreciated.
Could you please email them at gupta.rajan1987@gmail.com
Thanks
RG

1. Certainly not. People who are already in canada have received ppr while being there. So relax.
2. I did submit my invitation and support letter from the principal applicant separately.

Hope this helps.

Hi
My TRV was denied early last year for the first time because they wrote that I have ties both in Canada (wife and childrens are Canadian citizens, have joint ownership of home & car in Canada etc.)and also in my home country (have brothers, extended families, business, property ownership in my home country). I have extensive travel history throughout Asia, Europe & America with current valid visas for both USA & UK. Previously I was a Canadian PR and lost status in 2013 because my physical stay in Canada was less than 730 days in 5 years period. I lost my PR appeal and came back within validity period. My wife now sponsoring me again. Before becoming PR, I travelled to Canada with TRV. I have never overstayed on any Visa ever previously. Now I want to give another try for TRV for Canada. Recently my wife and children visited me and we had wonderful time together. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I want to apply by mid November just for one month. Thank you.

Hello HI,
I'm a permanent resident filed outland family class sponsorship application for my wife last december. my application is now in delhi, in the meanwhile we are planning to apply TRV. I have a small doubt, in the trv appplication i do see a field which ask for UCI number, I'm wondering what to fill in there, do i enter my wife's PR application UCI number ?? or just leave it empty
