In all likelihood, cic provides option to submit passport to Ottawa for stamping if you are in Canada at the time of PPR. Researched this quite a bit till I confirmed it with a fellow NDVO applicant.

Thank you so much for your information and help innosense..

Hellooo!!!

Thank you tannygirl for providing this summary!!! We got the visitor visa approved for my wife for 3 months to visit me. We got 1 year multiple entry visa. :) ;) ;) ;) :D :D

We also have a spousal PR application in process similar to you.

We are just in total happiness right now. We were so truthful and we put together the documents just like you had mentioned above. It really helped.

Dont get discouraged by others telling you its not possible guys. Just be truthful and provide as much info as possible. If you really want it to happen, it will. Good luckk!! :) :) :-*

Hi teodorix , what do you mean by visit for 2 months and multiple entry for 4 years? Does that mean you can stay for 2 months at a time for any number of times in 4 years or just once?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask a couple of questions about visitor visa

- Is it preferable to apply online or in person ?

- Since there is no appointment system in New Delhi VAC office does it take a long time in the queue to submit the application ?

- Finally, do we have to use the VFS Global Services or just apply directly ?

Thanks,

Please refrain from posting the same question in various threads. I have replied to your question in family category (where you posted your query).

Hi guys,
I have some good news. My wife was able to get a visitor visa from NDVO last friday. Its a one year multiple entry visa. Thank you tannygirl for the advise. We pretty much followed the document checklist.

I had one question (something that I asked a few days ago). How long can my wife stay in Canada? If there a 3 month or 6 month limit on tourist visas? If yes, who decides this?
Also since she is coming on a tourist visa, she needs a return ticket. Can I get her a ticket with a return date after 3-4 months?

Please let me know.

Congrats on this ! Did you purchase return tickets before you applied for the visa ?

Hello Dear Members,

Please need your help and valuable inputs on this. I am a PR and planning to get married to Indian Girl in August. I was thinking if I could ask my to be wife to apply for travel visa before marriage and bring her with me after marriage when I return from India to Canada . And then I can apply for her outland PR from here.

Will this idea work. your valuable inputs are very much appreciated.
if any of you knows about it request you to please share the details.it will help others in similar situation too.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,

Yes you can do this. I applied outland while in Canada.
Its almost impossible to get TRV approved after marriage. You can issue an invitation letter as her fiance saying you would like to spend some time together. I would not mention about the marriage in August.

Before she comes to Canada , ask her to get her PCC done. ( it can also be done in Canada through BLS International). Medicals can be done in Canada too.
