Can you please clarify what does 'Inside Canada' mean ?
I have applied for my parents TRV through a lawyer in Canada. But my parents reside in India. Does this still count as an application from 'Inside Canada' ?
`Inside Canada` means that they submitted their documents in Canada (online or paper). It means they are currently in Canada.
If they are in India, they probably applied there?

In India current processing time is 137 days.

You can check it here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

I had applied on May 21 and received Biometrics Correspondence on July 22, very similar to your dates.
Also, going by the pattern of the other guys here that were approved, I am hopeful we’ll receive an approval and passport request before the end of this month.
Do you have any information why there is so much delay in sending passport request ?

Obviously due to the Covid-19 situation, but at this point it only seems like an excuse since the problem has been under control here in Canada for quite sometime and to some extent everything seems to be back to normal. Honestly, I just think these IRCC guys are being lethargic and lazy right now. Anyways, I am sure we’ll be receiving confirmation very soon in the coming days.

I am in the same situation as you and now the IRCC processing has even increased to 101 days. Nonetheless I can suggest you an option which I am also thinking about opting for. If possible try to either delay your trip by a bit or extend your stay there, and get your visa stamped at the Visa office in the country you are planning to travel to. Delaying the trip or extending your stay would allow you enough time within which your approval and passport request will arrive from the Ottawa office and then you can contact a local visa office/consulate regarding the stamping of the visa.
Just a suggestion, rest’s up to you.
Does it make it any better to contact the Ottawa office?. As of now the call center is only responding to Canadian citizens. has any one got any response from TRV applications?

I didn't receive anything.
92 days passed so far.

Why do they even post that processing time is 75 days, if it's much longer?!

It sucks tbh. Ircc is rlly unreliable. Try sending a webform and calling. Maybe that’ll give them the ‘oh shoot’ moment they need to remember ur application

Most offices in India are closed and the majority of Canadian staff returned to Canada so that is why there are delays in India. Most applicanta are unable to do biometrics adding to delays. There have been delays throughout the world due to covid. Canada is like any other country.

There are thousanda of people calling them. Some people email and call daily. Canada can't invest am unlimited amount of funds into responding to questions. If people only sent one email and waited that would that would also lead to a faster response.

Your apllication is in a queue with tens of thousands of other applications. Due to lockdowns throughout the world and the wait times to retrofit large offices for social distancing there are backlogs in the system. Like other offices there has been a large adjustment period to covid and social distancing.

Then how come the number of processing days are reducing?
