Hi All,

I am thinking to apply Canada visitor visa for my parents. Myself and my wife are pretty settled here as permanent residents now and we have some saving also to show that we can support our parents during their stay.

I do have few questions here for my fellows: How much term my parents should mention for their stay here as now canada introduced Super visa from December 1, 2011 (for 10 years, with re-entry after 2 yrs).

2) Should I send the letter of invitation, my saving slips, letter of employment to my parents to have with their application.

3) Chandigarh or Delhi id best..?

Please help if you have any conclusive idea?

Thanks,

If you are interested in applying for the super visa - then you will have to wait until the details and requirements for the super visa are release (this information isn't available yet from CIC). Until these details are release and we know what the requirements are, no one can answer your questions.

Thanks Scylla,

Yes, its good to wait and get complete details. In normal visitor visa, Do person send the invitation letter to parents or he/she applies some document in Canada?

Once again, thanks for your reply.

Both. The person who invites send a letter of invitation and provide his/her financial status such as bank statement or bank letter.

You don't send the TRV application for them. You need to send them the invitation/statement of undertaking, your financial statement, proof of your status in Canada, for them to attach with the application package . They in turn also need to supply proof of their financial status in their country of residence and since no guidelines for the "super visa" is out yet, they also need to show "ties" with their current country of residence.

HI job_seeker,

I want to apply a visitor visa for my mother who is staying by herself in India. How can I demonstrate proof of ties? She does have property in Mumbai. Should that suffice?

The super visa is only for the people who are trying to apply for their parents from country which is stable economically and politically. A trick by Consvative goverment.
