Visitor Visa extension

I'm currently in Toronto on my visitor Visa. Now I want to study here .I even took admission in a college now I m in process for applying my student permit but my 6 month duration is expiring in few days..so I want to extend my visitor Visa.is that possible if yes can someone pls help me with my explanation letter for that?
