visitor visa extension

I applied online to extend my stay as a visitor on June 24th, so it's the 36th day, and I haven't heard anything yet. I was wondering if it's just me, or others are experiencing this as well?

Hi Sophieee, something does'nt add up here, if you are applying inland, you should not, have to extend your visa, others with moore experience on this subject, might be able to explain in detail

I didn't send an OWP with my app, so I don't have implied status.
The other thing is that I would like to have a driver's licence and for that I need a visitor visa which is valid for more than 6 months.

They updated the website after 14 days and according to them they are working on applications submitted on June 29, 2014. A still haven't heard anything, MyCIC shows the same. If anyone submitted an app in the second half of June please let me know if you got the extension.

I did mine online on 7th June I believe and I got an extension within a week.

It says as of yesterday they were working on June 29 applications. I would give them a call

Betcha wish you had included that OWP with your Inland application after all.

Yes I applied on the 30th too, at the time it said it was taking 15 days! Thanks for creating this thread, we'll keep track.

I didn't call, but I sent a case specific enquiry.

Ponga, you are right, now I regret it, but I still would need the visa extension for the driver's licence.

I've been trying to call today and every single time I get "we are unable to transfer your call to an agent". SO FRUSTRATING.

Hi okay so here's an update... I finally managed to talk to someone at the call centre, we can receive our answer ANY time between TODAY and OCTOBER.

Like we have no life you know, all we have to do is sit here and wait.

Lellen, that answer is unacceptable, but it shouldn't come as a surprise knowing how useless they are. Did you apply online or on paper?

Online. I know, it's not a surprise I guess. Why do they mislead us with their processing times, that's what I don't understand.

I better request my extension asap...
