How do you enter the education and employment fields? In the box MM, say for May we entered 05 and it errored on one PDF program but not another..?

I'm not cl;icking that one. I'm clicking the one that says 'Application to Change Conditions, Extend my Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or a Temporary Resident Permit Holder (IMM5708) (required)' Which is where I got the form. Sigghhhhh. I totally get your questions. Just trying everything and googling like mad int he background here.

I am thinking something is screwy with their system because it is telling you to retry later. It isn't giving you a message about anything wrong or missing on your application. Maybe try again tomorrow.

Yeah, 05 for May should work. I wonder if something is wrong with that form that they had on the Upload page. It would not open for me.
You could always go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/ and find the form and download it from there and start over. Just an idea if it doesn't work tomorrow.

I googled and saw a few people had the same problem but they had specific details of what the problem was, like a date on the application was wrong. Yours at least says Retry later.

It's soo frustrating everything we have to go through. My PR is in process and I had to give another $100 for an extension. Geez!! ???

Yeah it's past midnight. I guess I should go to bed, check in tomorrow / call CIC and then if nothing else works do the form over. Buhhhh. Or rather my husband should. It's his form he went to bed ages ago and I'm obsessing.

Yeah. We're paying the $100 and we're not even gonna get the extension since we're leaving again in 3 weeks SO many god damned hoops. I'm not a maltreated dolphin.

So you are applying for an extension but will be leaving Canada? How does that work? I thought you had to be in Canada.

I guess they want to see who really wants to live in Canada. LOL

We're applying for an extension because his VR expires Jan 4th but we're honeymooning in Florida Jan 24th, flying out of Pearson.

If it doesn't work, try getting a new form from the link I sent and start over. I have heard CIC isn't very helpful when you call.

Shouldn't you apply for the extension after you return to Canada?
What dates are you putting on your application? Like the staying in Canada "from" and "to" date? The "from" date should be the expiry date of his VR, not today's date. If you are leaving, what "to" date are you putting? How long are you requesting an extension for?

I read something online about an error with an expiry date on the application and it was not uploading. Re-check your dates on your application.
Like for me, my VR expires on Jan 30, 2016 so in the section, "How long do you plan to stay". I put from 2016-01-30 to 2017-01-30. So I am asking for a year. Not sure if that would create a problem or not. This is what I did on my last extension as well.

The VR means he has to leave on the 4th. We leave from Toronto on the 24th. If we apply for an extention, he gets implied status and can stay until the 24th when we leave for Florida. The date we put for the 'to' is Feb 28th, because if they say processed it tomorrow, that's how long we'd want the VR to last. Because after that he'll probably start work up again.

Oh, hmm. That's interesting. For the 'from' I just out the current date. So I'd want to put Jan 4th (expiry date) for the from. Okay, I'll try that in the morning. Already turned the pc off. Lawl.

On second thought I'll try that date thing now. I won't be able to sleep wondering if that's what did it.
