Visitor Extension - PR

My Common-Law Partner and I are planning to send our application in at the end of October, however my Visitor Visa will expire on the 9th of December.

What would be best?
Sending in the PR application and Sending the Visitor Visa extension closer to expiry date?
Sending Visa Extension with the PR application in hopes that it is recieved before the application date?
Send a Restoration of Visa Status with PR application?
Or very opportunistic Both Visa Extension and Restoration of Visa status with PR application (with dates saying please use this form if opened by....)

Please help, I'm sure its a really simple answer that my brain can not comprehend at the moment.

Including the OWP with the Inland application, meaning in the same envelope, will give you Implied Status; No need to apply for an extension or Restoration of Status. However, this ONLY works if CIC receives the applications prior to your status expiring (which they clearly should), and you have sent the latest version of all PR forms, signed as required, and have paid the proper fee for the OWP (which is $255).

If your Inland application and/or OWP is returned to you, because of an error on your part, it would jeopardize your Implied Status.

What are the chances of CIC receiving my application before my visitor status runs out?

also in a similar situation...wife's visitor status expires in mid nov. already sent the pr and owp apps 2 months ago (no aor as of yet). spoke to an agent and they told me that there was no need to apply for a extension since she has implied status (which i was aware of). my question to him was well what happens if for whatever reason the apps are returned after her visitor status expires and they said she could apply to restore her status...how would that even work?? does that mean that we would then have to apply to 1st restore her status, await approval and then resent the pr and owp apps again?? so consufed :-X
