Hi,

I am going to apply for a visit visa in another 2 weeks time.

I am presently in US on H1 and my Visa (i-94) is valid till May 3rd week. Can i opt for multiple entry Visa? Becoz i want to visit Montreal again in April last week. As of now i am planning to visit Toronto in March 3 rd week.

1.Will there be any problem if i opt for multiple entry visit visa while i have only 3 month of H1 left?
2. In my employment verification letter my employer just mentioned i am working at so and so company. He didn't mention i am going to Canada for vacation on so and so dates. Will it be a prob?
3.Will the details about the hotel reservation is enough? Becoz i will be driving into Canada.No flight tickets.

You can try applying for multiple entry visa but you don't have to apply for a multiple entry because if you are granted a single entry and entered Canada and exited only to the US, you can enter Canada again within the validity of the single entry visa granted you.

If you are a citizen of a country that requires a temporary resident visa (TRV) to travel to Canada, you will also need to be in possession of a valid entry visa to return, unless:

* you are returning to Canada following a visit only to the United States or St-Pierre and Miquelon; and
* you return before the expiry of the period initially authorized for your entry or any extension to it, either as a visitor, student or worker.

Ease or difficulty of obtaining single/multiple entry, probably would be similar. It depends upon the strength of the proof of ties you attach with your application. You had a better chance at getting an approval if you showed Certificate of Employment and Approved Leave of Absence, which shows you are still employed and are going back after the vacation, though you are close to the end of your H1 visa. You should also show proof of sufficient funds to be able to take the trip. Showing you had made hotel reservations might help. I hope you have strong reasons coming to Canada. All the best.

BTW, were you not suppose to come for the Olympics? You are just coming so you can get a new I94, aren't you?
