Hello Everyone,
I applied for my spouse visitor visa under temporary visit ( 6 months or less ) instead of immediate family reunification. Does it make any difference in the processing time?

Hello Guys, My application for my in-laws visitor visa Time line is below
1. Applied - 28 Apr, 2021
2. Biometric Done - 23th July, 2021
I have two questions regarding this.
1. My father in-law's application says Biometric number is there, received but it says your fingerprints are not received, I am not sure why? Is that a problem? I tired to look and given a reply that sometimes it happens on website. My mother in-law s status shows it as "Completed and finerprints received" they both did it togeher.
2. Should I wait or apply on new portal? how much time it takes on new portal and if I submit the application again there, what all documents I will need?
Please guide.

Hi Iam little bit confused and unable to move from this page
I have a US B1/B2 visa on my old passport valid till 2025 but the passport which has this US Visa is expired in 2016. Now i am applying canada visitor visa with my new passport. When this question came i selected YES then its says Tell us about the passport you used to get your U.S. nonimmigrant visa
then it asked me Select the country code that matches the one on your passport I selected India than asked Passport number i entered the old passport number now comes the difficult one when was the passport issued and passport expiry. When i try to select the Year 2006 issued it's not showing the year 2006 its showing from 2011 to 2021 and the expiry showing from 2021 to 2031. I donot understand why it is not showing the year 2006 and 2016. I dont know what to select how to proceed from this point.
I know that if any one has US valid visa but the passport is expired then he can travel with the new passport and the US visa is still valid. I went to US with the new passport couple of time but no issues.
Can any one help me.

I’m re applying for my parents VISA on new portal. The old application is still in process, can anyone guide me on below points?
1. what needs to be put as a reason andwhy they are asking for dates? How can we specify that?
2. if we say 25 k in funds available, then do we need to provide proof of exactly that amount?
3. Can we use same bank statements from old application the old ones which I provided in around April month or we need to do it all again?

Hi, I also have an application for my spouse that has been sitting there for months now. I applied back in May from Nigeria, and still no results. Did you re-apply, or was this your first application for your mom.

This is my moms very first visitor visa application.
first was submitted sept 23rd via gckey. (no update on that yet up till now. apart from biometrics)
second application was submitted oct 23rd on IRCC portal. got PPR in 8 days
It is now officially 30 business days since IRCC asked to resubmit my sister’s application on the new portal. First application was sent on July 14th, 2021. Sent webform a couple days later to request priority processing and travel authorization letter (family reunification with a Permant Resident).
They issued and sent the authorization letter through email, but forgot to issue the PPR. We replied and said it was supposed to come with PPR, they replied and said the letter was issued in error and to disregard it but that her application was now going to priority processing and to expect a reply soon.
This was in August and nothing happened ever since. We submitted another travel exemption webform and we got a reply on October 12th to resubmit on the new portal and that to expect a correspondence within 14-30 business days. We resubmitted same day, and today makes it 30 business days with no response. She applied from Nigeria and the Visa Office is Nairobi, Kenya.
IRCC need to be held accountable for their words and actions. Why say one thing if you know you won’t be able to commit to it? That department is a whole mess, it needs a revamp.
IRCC will keep acting arbitrarily until something is done and they end up with many lawsuits in their hands for causing emotional/mental distress and damage on applicants; from temporary resident applicants to permanent resident applicants and citizenship applicants.
