After waiting 3 years and a half, I finally got the maple leaf visa. I waited 11 months after the medicals living all the torture that every body in this forum has lived . I just have one month to travel to CANADA before my medicals finish on 05/09/2010, so I booked through the Emirates airlines next Monday (26/07/2010). Wish me an exciting and interesting landing experience with my family. I wish the best for those who are still waiting......never give up ....always fight for your dream. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Many thanks for everybody who advised me or at least passed by my comments. I love this forum. It was very helpful to me.

just one quick question, I saw that besho has written he is travelling soon because his medicals is about to expire..that is it will be 1 year from the date he completed his medicals. I was wondering what is the deadline decided by is it 1 year from the date of visa issue or 1 year from the date of medicals completion?? Seniors please share. Thanks

You did the rite thing, i was also thinking you might need transit visa for london; anyways best wishes, i might travel next month with my family for landing

Good luck; if i may ask what profession you are in ? what is your plan going forwards? i am thinking same as to make my family live there and save some money by continuing job and then join them....

i think visa as well as medicals is valid for i year, meds after the date of meds done and visa after issue, usually visa is recd after meds so people fly before meds expire or else have to undergo meds again.
correct me if i am wrong,
