how long have u been waiting, sandrino?sandrinho said:I am still waiting for a reply..........
Wow! iamroth is right, they are probably busy playing Farmville. But kidding aside, I am really hoping that b4 this week ends you'll hear from them.sandrinho said:3 weeks......
I just emailed them AGAIN!!! I doubt that they will respond by Monday, but anyway I will give them that chance....veronica79 said:Wow! iamroth is right, they are probably busy playing Farmville. But kidding aside, I am really hoping that b4 this week ends you'll hear from them.

If I had sent it 2 weeks ago all of this would have been behind me....But I didn't want to involve other people, obviously I have to. I will print shipping label for USA....
There was a guy who waited for 50 days, I don't know whether he heard back from CPC-Ottawa at all....I don't want to wait that long....There was another guy who waited about 3 weeks, so 3 weeks was my threshold of patience.......veronica79 said:I could have sent mine too last week, but the courier will only be responsible sending out my passport up to Canada custom, after that, they will not be liable. I decided not to risk it that's why I'm in this situation too. But pretty sure they would reply b4 your 60day deadline of submitting your passport to them.
wow,50days! Yes nobody wants to wait that long. I also emailed my visa office here, im hoping they will contact CPP ottawa too. For now, let's just hope for the best.sandrinho said:There was a guy who waited for 50 days, I don't know whether he heard back from CPC-Ottawa at all....I don't want to wait that long....There was another guy who waited about 3 weeks, so 3 weeks was my threshold of patience.......
Roth, please don't forget it is 20 working days! which is a month.. I am sure they read my emails, they just don't want to respond....I kinda feel like discriminated....because some people get a response in 2 weeks time...I waited 3.....And still nothing. I have tried all possible channels of communication I could think of...Nope....still nothing....iamroth said:This is what I am thinking right now.
- May be my email went to their junk folder.
- May be I did not write the email in a proper template, so they ignored it.
- May be they will reply with in 20 days (but with sandrinho's case, they did not reply after 20 days).
- May be I should keep calm and wait more (but what's the point in waiting when there is no guarantee of a reply).
They give you 60 days to send passport. They ask you to email them. They tell you 'we will contact with in 20 days'. Then they never reply anymore. You sit and wait, thinking "whats going on? maybe I should email them again" - Now you have 40 days left. You email them again, wait for another 20 days - they never reply again....Now you have 20 days left.....
Can't think anymore.
I think the 20-day response time frame is a general quote for that email address. We are almost Permanent Residents, why would they use the same email address that they use for other purposes?sandrinho said:Roth, please don't forget it is 20 working days! which is a month.. Oh, it's not only that standard email. When I talked with an agent the last time...She said:" In order to help you I have to ask you a few questions..." and I was thinking, great, someone is finally paying attention....the sole question she asked was:"When did you send that request?", I said:" May 2nd"....all she did was to count 20 working days from May 2nd... In my case I am supposed to hear by June 2nd.....iamroth said:I think the 20-day response time frame is a general quote for that email address. I am feeling really upset because in the PPR they said "The issuance of your visa(s) cannot be delayed so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as soon as possible" - How will I submit when you guys are sleeping during work hours?
I thought this ordeal will take 2-3 days at most, that is why I did not manage to get the passport to Ottawa before. If I get out of this mess, I will tell all the potential applicants to send their passport to Ottawa - to not fall in this trap.
Sigh!
