Still the PP is under process at CHC New Delhi.
Had called the VAC's cust. Centre, they have said avg. Turn around time is 10 working days.
Still haven't heard from CIC on the Change of visa office.
I'll keep you all upfated, as soon as I hear anything.
Fingers crossed.

Since they assured you, It will be a positive outcome.

So, I was inspired by Raagaa's bold move, and I decided to contact the office of my choice. Here is what they replied on my request for sending my passport without formal permission from CPC-Ottawa:

They mostly ignored your messages, hopefully they will swiftly reply now since the Bucharest office contacted CIC.

I am kinda losing hope, because I was told last Wednesday that they (Bucharest) had referred my message, and that I was supposed to hear back soon from CPC-Ottawa....today is Thursday (one week later)..
I will try to wait for 20 working days before sending my passport to Ottawa. 20 working days since my first email will be 2nd of June....
Sitting tight is easier to be said than done :(

Looking at all the above responses, i am bit worried, how much time will CIC take for my request to change the stamping office to New Delhi.(Post i receive PPR).

All the best to all those who are waiting for their response.
May you get your response by Friday EOD ;D

Cheers..!!

A new day is about to start in Ottawa, and the hopes are rising again :D

I seriously don't know what is going on. I am trying to "figure" out why it takes almost 3 weeks to get a reply, but I guess it is too huge for my intellect.

Someone said earlier "Asking CIC to change visa stamping office is the worst decision in this whole PR process".
Earlier I thought, it can't be that bad --- I Changed my view!

Seriously If you can find a way to get your passport to Ottawa, the whole process will be over within a week.

I wonder has anyone tried CSE (Case specific Enquiry) to contact CIC?

hey guys ..i need some advice from you all please...i am in a bit of a confused situation...

on 7th of this month i got PPR email....my wife is in the application as a dependant ...when i got med request got sent a seperate form for her to get it done...on the PPR email it states to send all passports togather in ottawa..problem is i am in canada but my wife is not..she is in a different country...in PPR email cic stated that if me or any dependant is unable to send passport to ottawa ...i have to send them email and they will make arrangements to have the visa printed overseas...so i sent CIC an email to arrange it for my wife overseas and instruct me what to do with my passport since i am not able to send all the passports togather......send just my passport to ottawa or what....yesterday i got a reply from CIC which is in my name and a computer generated email which basically explains how to send passport for printing the visa from overseas office....and there is no instruction on the fact that it is okay to send just my passport to ottawa and my wife can send hers to the responsible office overseas....

i called CIC call centre today and spoke to 3 different agents and got 3 different response...one said to do the logical thing..send mine to ottawa and wifes to the other office.....another one said to email cic again..and another one wouldnt even listen properly just said she cant answer any question regarding CEC applications!!...

please guys help if you have any knowledge about similar type of situation..thanks a lot

Man, don't bother to ring cic centre in the future, which seems has little knowledge about CEC.

Anyway, yes, definitely ask your wife to send her passport to India with the responding email you mentioned above and send yours to cic Ottawa with original request letter, I also suggest to write an explanation letter to cic indicating that your wife is sending to India, but remember hers cannot be approved before you, so there might be some lagging.

so true dude...i dont know why the CIC is spending money on call centre because they are just good for almost nothing...we were thinking to do that ..just print out the emails and send it along with the passport and a cover letter explaining the situation...lets see what happens...probably i will send mine tomorrow...

Your case happened to some other members before and this is what they did. Believe this is what cic called 'logical'... :P

Good luck with it man. By and by, you got response really quick, as you can see in this thread, we are still awaiting the response from cic. Congrats! At least, another step closer!
