visa stamping at other office

Hey Raagaa,

Do you mind sharing your experience with submitting your passport for stamping without actually having heard back from CPC-Ottawa? Were you actually able to do that?

Its been 10 days since I send the passport for stamping . Still have not heard anything and status is still in process . This visa stamping process from other office really takes a long time to get the mail and then to stamp it.

Just checked the status and it has changed passport dispatched from Delhi office . Does any one know when can i collect it from VFS office ?

I believe with in 2-3 days.

I was under the impression that he did so....

Anywho, I am taking my chances and getting my PP submitted with the 3 rd party vendor. I'll keep you all posted on how that works out for me. My experiment should be a good learning exp for all of the candidates who wish to get their visa printed outside of North America.

Hehehe... Gangsta Move, I like it... Btw I am a 'she'... Yes I did send out my PP and the Third party agency has accepted it as well... Soon we'll all find out... Fingers crossed

It was hasslefree... The manager at VFS Global said that it was absolutely okay to submit without the email response. Yet to get hold of my PP with visa stamped and COPR so it still feels like a gamble... Let's wait n watch, soon we'll all find out... It'll be a good learning

That is a great move. If it goes well CIC might change their approach as well and allow to stamping anywhere without much issues . Hope you get a positive response

Other possiblity is they might already have it in their system that you have requested for other office and thus allow you to get it processed.

Anyways positive response is what we would like to have,

Having in mind their reluctance to communicate with us it will spare us all a lot of nerves!

Well, I contacted the Canadian Embassy that is designated for my country. Even they told me to to sit tight and to wait to be contacted by them....I was hoping to hear:"Sure bro, bring it on (my passport)..." but no....Waiting is the answer....

Had you given your cell phone number, you might have got the msg on your phone as well. When the passport is dispatched, it generally comes the next day to your home address through Blue Dart service. Atleast that wsa the case for me twice in Mumbai.

On average it took 6.5 days to get a response from CIC about changing Visa stamping location.

It is actually more than 7 days. But thanks to some lucky ones who got reply with in 1 day, the average is lower

Oh no. Not yet. I was looking at others who got reply.

it's been only 2 days for me. I think i will have to wait till Christmas to get a reply.
