What are your qualifications and what course are you thinking of ? Just quoting IELTS scores is not enough information for feedback.

I'm pretty sure your IELTS score would raise suspicion when it comes across the V.O and University officer. You almost aced the listening category while bombing the speaking section. You kinda have to do some explaining to do on your SOP if you apply with the above scores. Other than that , I need a lot more information.

I have done my 12th(medical) with 70% marks in 2015 and I m applying for Chemical engineering technology at Mohawk college.

My Qualification :- Polytechnic Diploma - 69.8% (Mechanical - 2010 passed out ) No backlog in entire course
B. Tech - 72% (Mechanical - 2013 passed out ) No backlog in entire course
Work Experience ( july 2013 - aug 2016 as an assistant engineer in Power plant sector

Ielts Result - 6.5 overall ( L-6.5, R-6.5, W-6, S-7 )

Is this a good profile for pursuing PG diploma? .. Please reply

Hi,

You're good to go with your qualifications

Best of luck

hi, myself Vivek Barot , Currently Working as Asst. Front Office Manager. i completed my B.sc in hotel and hospitality management from indian institute for hotel management and catering technology in 2014 and then after working without any gap for 3 and half years in same field. as i applied once for canada in 2014 but due to some confusion under my marksheets my visa was refued by visa office , stating that the academic of my bachelor is not clear and confusing. but the clearity is that we get the marksheet after we clear the backlog and the year on marksheet is of the year of complition but not of the year when so and so subject is attempted on so and so semester. For Example: i attempted my first semester in 2009-10 but because of backlog i clearrd in 2010-11 so i got the marksheet on 2010-11 stating same year printed on it but even i cleared second semester in 2010-11 which was regular so this might arise the confusion. but if i show it on SOP and even a Transcript from National Institute when will it work ?
As i am looking forward to apply for PGDM course for Hotel Managemnt or Tour And Travel.

IELTS :- 6.0 (S-5.5,R-6.5,W-5.5,L.6 )
What are the visa chances ??
looking forward for better help and guidance.
Thanl You :)

Your IELTS score might be low if you're applying to reputed colleges . I personally would recommend improving your proficiency in the language because hospitality is a field where language plays an important role. Being in the hospitality industry , It Is equally important to posses in-depth knowledge of french in order to communicate with your peers or colleagues in the future. Other than that , I'm sure you could give them a detailed explanation of the Marksheet discrepancy on your SOP.

Good luck bud.
