They automatically send it back to the VAC and then the VAC will call you personally to ask if you’d like to pick it up or if you want them to mail it to you

i tought the other way around that the vienna office will email me or contact me for pick up ? while i already send it to vac office and the vac office forwarded to vienna `?

No.. I don’t think anyone goes to the Vienna office directly to pick up their passport. You can pick it up from where you dropped it off

Our gc key is still asking for optional additional documents ie “client information”. My husband already sent his passport to Vienna with a letter confirming his address, receipt of payment, the first page of his passport request letter and two photos. He sent his passport on Friday, gc still has not updated to anything. Does anyone know if gc key updates once Vienna receives your passport? And also, what could the additional document section be about?? Is it just a formality in case he wants to update any information before they send his passport back?
