As I said, last week I received an email requesting our passports to finalize the Visa process. I have a question about this final step: my wife and my daughter are currently in the process of becoming German citizens. My daughter has already given up her current nationality (and passport) and my wife is waiting for her renunciation confirmation to finalize this process. Since I'm the principal applicant, I was wondering whether I can submit (initially) only my passport in order to get my visa without further delays. The problem is that I have only 30 days to submit the passports and I'm sure that within this time window they will not receive their new German documents.

I wish I could help with your problem....I would definitely write them an email explaining everything as you did here and put in subject of email - URGENT....but unfortunately I dont know if that will help in terms of responding time.

Nothing at all. Did you maybe get an email that your application will be processed in Missisauga as many other did get an email like that when they where stucked in mississaga. Or did you get a notification that your file has been transferred to Vienna?

Nope, didn't receive an email about being processed in Mississauga or an email about transfer to Vienna. However, few days ago got a medical request. Maybe, now after medical they are going to transfer us....But so far we are in Mississauga.

Just wanna share details of my application.
We applied for PR in February 2017. ( 02.02 )
The application was stucked in CPC mississauga until June (13.06 )
Since then we haven't got any news from them. Recently i ordered GCMS notes and got them 29 days after request has been made. I didn't get anything from it...
They haven't started my background check yet.
Status of applications is "in process".
i thought that processing will go more smoothly as medical examination and police certifcate is done upfront. Also all the fees have been paid upfront.
This waiting is killing me and every day i get more frustrated. I know that apprx waiting is 1 year and everything so far is in correct time frame but this lack of communication with them and their silence is soooooooooo ****
So to summerize. 8 months since i applied and i am not even close to the end.
Lot of luck to everyone.

Dont worry since some are getting PPR after 6-8 months of waiting in Vienna and some are waiting until the end 16 months just federal part, example me so no need to worry maybe you will have luck and will get PPR after some days.

Quick question for those who applied after the new rules for sponsorship came into effect, how long was the time frame from the VO "in process" to "decision made"?

Is it just the Vienna office working at a snails pace? I have seen other visa offices who have received application after I submit it getting their decision made sent to their applicants.

Oh, my God, this is horrible. I'm only at the beginning, I think Vienna office was quick previous years I'm waiting for the AOR.

They are terrible. Trying to call them since morning but they are not picking up the phone, even the phone that is dedicated only for Canadians they do not pick.

My Background check chaged today, from N/A to In Process, does anybody know how much until PPR?
(Medicals done beffore 4 months, additional docs provided beffore 2 months.)

My Background check changed Friday (8.9.2017) Medicals done in March! Still they haven't asked me to send the documents for Background check but the status in the application changed. It is so weird!

Did you sent police and court certificates in the beginning. If yes than you are OK, because I didnt sent police certificate with the package. Thats why they asked me to sent additional docs beffore two months.
