Hi,
I just received an email from the Vienna office requesting an interview with my spouse. Did anyone had recently an interview in Vienna? Any tips?

My spouse has interview February 23rd. I married him while he was under removal with one year exclusion so we expected an interview. Big red flag.
Order GCMS notes immediately. It is possible you will see some comments there as to why interview is requested. It takes 30 days to get them. If spouse is outside Canada you need their signature on consent form to request under access to information act.
Our notes indicated excessive photos and chat logs were shredded in Mississauga. So we are reprinting all.
I will be attending also since I had already booked ticket to spend anniversary with him the day before the now scheduled interview.
When us your interview?
What documents do they ask for?

Interview is on February 16. We have to bring proof of ongoing communication photos, financial independence, proof of visits, which we don't have since we didn't visit each other since we applied. I'm planing to go with her.

Yes no proof of visits is red flag. Good you will be there. FYI Sometimes sponsors get questioned so be prepared.
Did they ask for passport? Is it visa exempt country?
We had no proof of visit. Only my flight ticket scheduled 2 days after sent app.
I was there 5 weeks in summer and fly out again soon for a month.

Yes, passport too. We are from Bosnia, it is not visa exempt. Thank you for reply.

We also did letters for interview from friends and family stating many facts to back our story.
One notary the rest under oath by commissioner which is much less expensive

Sve najbolje!

We were told at our interview that our process would be done by new years and that was October 2014..now they sent us email ARC will take several months..
I have to return to finish my school i have a nursing placements left but I did not want to return without my husband i was really thinking it would be done by now from what they have been telling us.

Are we alowed to request a second interview to go together and see why they need months and months for a file thats already near the end i cant belive that they have so many since ARC cases are a separate pile..someone must be going through them.
I have to try something..

They told you that the arc will take several months?
Every time I emailed them they said the review is on going and that there's no time frame for an arc application

I hope it serves as reassurance that Vienna is processing cases way faster than 16 months.
We received 'Decision Made' Today. Vienna received our docs mid September, 2015.
They didn't give us a hard time at all.
Perhaps we were too much, but we added over 1000 pages of double sided printed chat logs, tons emails, 150 pictures and detailed accounts how the relationship evolved and remained ongoing.
Good luck to you all!

I had printed out year and half worth of facebook chat we talked all day everyday literally..and viber and skype logs..my immigration counsellor told me it would make the file too heavy but i still sent a huge chunk of papers and photos..i love taking pictures so we have thousands. There can never be too much :)
