Question for all, I have recently gone through my application (organized it), I had double, tripled and quadrupled checked it checked it for errors. I was looking over it and realized I had an error that I did not catch before sending it. Form is IMM5540E and the dates are off, nothing major but 2 mistakes. Can anyone who has dealt with CIC tell me know if this is a problem? Could this cause a delay in the procedure, be seen as a red flag? What should I do, wait for them to contact me or contact CIC and let them know?

Mistake 1 - IMM5490 QUESTION 12. The month and date are good, the year is what i messed up on i put 1998 instead of 2015.
Mistake 2- Sponsor Questionnaire . The date that I resided with my wife.

I was under alot of stress and thought I caught every possible mistake. And now Im beating myself up for not catching those two mistakes.

We sent our application July 13. I received email AOR from Mississauga August 11th. Now in process for approval of sponsor. My husband is a Slovak citizen. We have submitted all upfront information. Our case is complicated due to a removal order still in effect until March so fingers crossed they still move forward with our case.

If you are from visa exempt country do you skip the request for passport and just get a letter for COPR?

Question does Mississauga processing center send out an email telling you that your application is in process or they just tell you when your approved?

We only got AOR but online status updated to in process a few days later. No email stating in process came.

When is best time to apply for CAIPS notes when applying through Vienna?

Just a quick note to those of you following the group that my Spouse received his request to send in his passport to Vienna. We applied on on March 16th and that means it took us almost 6 months to the day from start to finish. Again, each situation is unique and has it's own circumstances. But it does indeed look like it is on average taking 6 months for processing in Vienna, even though the average processing time is showing on the CIC web site as 17months. I know how hard this whole process is, and how much patience it takes to see it through. Wishing you all the best of luck and a speedy reunification for your families.

Congrats to you both!
I'm curious if this was start to finish including SA approval?

Yes...almost 6mnths to the day from when we applied. I still can't believe it. :o

Did anyone get any news from Vienna?
Or did anyone get approved or asked for something?
Hopefully Vienna didn't slow down the processing of applications

Hey Ilija,

My hubby was asked to supply Montenegro Police Certificates as he worked there for a year. Somehow I totally missed that part so we are working on getting it now but it's been proven to be difficult. Embassies suck! They don't help much.

@Ilija I asked Vienna whether they received my medical information earlier this week. They answered (positively) within 2 days. Seems they're still alive and kicking.
