I have added myself to the spreadsheet.

In skimming through this thread, I saw that some people the Vienna Office does not provide an AOR, while some say it does. Do we have an actual answer to that question or is again a case of lack of consistency by CIC?

No,unfortunately,Vienna does not send an AOR. I think the people that got it got a confirmation over phone. You will probably not going to receive any communication from Vienna until your application goes "in process" or they request additional documentation. It can take a while (couple of months at least).

Do they send the application by snail mail abroad? Or make a digital file?

Not sure, sorry, but trust me, that transfer from Mississauga to Vienna is not making a big delay, the actual processing is what takes time.

I never ordered them, but I can tell you what I've learned from the forum:
1. it takes about 30 days to get them
2. nobody ever reported it has any impact on the application, some people even ordered them a few times
3. sometimes you get some information from them, but sometimes they are completely useless

Hello,
I am having a same problem as you had, so I would love to hear some advis from you.
I becom PR of Canada last year, but I return to Taiwan to wait for my husband gratuate (was my boyfriend by the time). He was going to applied working holiday to come living in Canada with me, but he filled. So we got married and decid to applied immigration for spouse. But I just found out, as a PR I can't sponsor him from outside.
Do you think I can still applie and claim I live in Canada, and as soon as I send my application we move to Canada together? He can use a TVR.
Or we should wait until we both move back to Canada and applie a in-land application? Which will take a lot more time.

Try to consult this spreadsheet, although it highly depends on how complicated your case is (are you married or common-law, age difference, how many times married before etc). More complicated the case is, longer you wait. You can also check timelines people put under their nicknames.

Hi Guys,
I am new to this page, would like to get some idea, how to apply canadian pr from vienna, Austria.
Or is there any easy way to move to canada.

Thanks,

Hello everybody. I am from Macedonia. 22 years old student. I have a relatives who live in Canada already 30 years. They made me an application for Family class sponsorship visa about more than 1 year ago. First the documents were in Canada but now are in Vienna. They asked me to send not convicted of offenses documents and that was all. I wanted to ask you is everything okay yet and what should i expect. Kind regards. Hope for a positive answer. :) ;) :D >:(
