Hello everobody,

I just have a question. How do you all know exact date when Vienna received your application? SA letter (March 15) just sayis, it has been forwarded to Vienna and as I am informed Vienna doesn t send any AOR.

We all just take the date from ecas (your application has been received on xxx).

Thanks for reply, but that is the date when all FAM package was received by CIC Missisagua...we have this date on ecas but I thought File transfer date is date when the PR package gets physically to Vienna I mean after SA. File transfer date is the date from ecas then?

We applied in October 2014, but had to redo one form and wait till March 2015 for SA letter. Since that no news. The question is when should I consider counting from for processing in Vienna? From December then?

On our ecas it sais:
We received your application for PR on 22 December 2014
Medicals have been received.

You are right, I made a mistake. It's the date we received SA (SA was dated April 30th, we received an e-mail on May 1st) that I counted as the date of transfer, since there is no AOR for Vienna. Sorry...

Vienna Interview today: Not good news, My partner and I will discuss our options tomorrow, .on the phone we are both mature individuals so there won't be any weeping or gnashing of teeth, as we work the best plan for both of us, we still love each other. I may or may not continue to post.

What happened???
Don't lose hope or faith. It may take some time but there are options. Just take a deep breath and see what they are.

I had a very hectic day yesterday and slept a solid nine hours, last night. I talked to a few close friends, and ones that supplied sponsor letters. I will be calling my partner at 11 am 5pm overseas today. An appeal would cost around $10 grand and take another year or two, and 3 red flags (age for one, OK for Hollywood, but not marriage immigration apparently I am 70 he's 36) that would be difficult to over come.

Yes The interview last an hour, was mean spirited, calling me a Grandfather. I don't hold any grudges against the Visa Officers, they were just doing their job.

I have some health issue, that need to be looked after. I hope to come to a mutual agreement, that's best for both of us, so we can remain friends. as each moves on, to different horizons.

Happiness is our natural state in life, its something we all want to achieve .I will continue to help Roma refugees and perhaps taking in one, as an occasional short term house guest, as I have done with J.K. I will continue my volunteer work as an arts festival, event promoter. I may occasional come back here to help other sponsors, with suggested solutions. Au revoir Amigos.

First of all let me say hi to all of you. Me and my Canadian wife and kids are currently living in Bosnia. My question would be , after receiving a spousal visa, what is the time you actually have to enter Canada. I know this may be an odd question, but my situation takes some planning.

Your landing date is tied to the medical you've done. They last 12 months. So, if you have done your meds on June 12th 2014 (e.g.), they are valid until the same date in 2015, June 12th. After receiving the visa and CoPR you have to land not later than the date of expiry of the medicals. This date will be shown on your CoPR.

In some cases, if the approval takes longer than 12 months, but not much longer, they extend the validity of the medicals by a month or two...

Hello Everyone!

I apologize if this question has been answered somewhere in the forum before, but I am wondering from those who have received theirs PRs and are now living in Canada, did any of you wait longer than 12 months to receive it from the Vienna office? From the research I did looking at various spreadsheets that have been posted for every month in the past year, it appears that most cases were processed in 6-10 months, but not everyone updated their statuses on these spreadsheets. I am wondering as I would like to know at least some sort of time frame as the current 17 months waiting time is a bit stressful!!!

Thanks in advance!
