And you applied in April?! When did you get your sponsorship approval? It was delivered by post but was your ECAS updated beforehand to in process etc?

Sorry for all the questions, we applied in May.

Congratulations!

No worries about the amount of questions. Yes, I applied in April. Sponsorship approval and transfer of file to Vienna happened in June. I am not sure when my ECAS was updated but this morning it said "Decision Made November 20, 2014". I have to admit that I had not checked my status in a while since I was not expecting any news until end of next year. Plus, I already live in Canada with my partner, I work from home, I get 2 hours of free French classes each week...so compared to many others out there I have not felt like my life is "on hold". Preparing the application was stressing me out a lot, but once it was sent I just thought "The worst is over now". I had read a few posts from other members lately saying they received positive news way ahead of time but didn´t dare to hope I´d be one of those lucky ones.
This is the best Christmas gift ever... I hope that Vienna is picking up in general and that there are many more lucky ones out there!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys.

hello everyone , anybody from bosnia got COPR leatly

I have received an e-mail to send my passport in. Didn't do it yet, since I am waiting for Vienna to update my address to the Canadian one, but this is just a step to get COPR, so I guess my answer to you is: YES!

May 1,2014 - transferred to Vienna
May 2,2014 - Sponsorship approval
November 20,2014 - Document request ( proof of communication )
November 26,2014 - Passport request :D (no interview needed )
Total time : 8 months :D We`re lucky :D
Good luck to everyone!

Hi were you in canada and applied outland? cause if so, that was quick. From what i understand though if you apply outland while in canada you can not apply for a work permit while the application is in process right?

Thanks for your help :)

I'm from Croatia, also passport exempt. Maybe it's just for proof of identity.
I was expecting to be able to pay the fees on the spot, regardless of how long it takes for them to make the decision. I have no idea if they need to be paid in cash, or can I pay with a credit card. Unless, like you said, we pay them upon arrival/landing. I have no idea.
I wish your husband and you the best!!! Please keep us updated about the interview process.
(Where is he from btw? I'm looking at all possible ways to get to Vienna without breaking the bank lol.)

You mean in ECAS? Don't trust it. Mine was updated in ECAS for 12 months and they sent my COPR to the wrong address anyways :-(
Just send in your passport with a note what your new address is

Hi,

I have been reading this forum a lot and finally decided to sign up.

Vienna seems to be very active lately! I have also received my CoPR a couple of weeks back. Processing took just about 12 months for us. Looks like Vienna is now issuing CoPR's in under 10 months. That is very good news for new applicants!

I am now starting to prepare my landing Sooo excited!

Well, I meant in ECAS, but I sent them an e-mail too late. Today they finally replied that they updated my address, but the one in ECAS is still wrong. I talked to an agent in call centre, and they said it's the best to include cover letter with my passport including my Canadian address and intention to stay in Canada for more than the next three months, and it's all gonna be OK.

Yesterday I sent my passport to Ottawa, so we shall see what happens :D Hopefully they will return the passport here to Canada. (no tracking in the system yet though, Canada post is slow in updating that :S)

I will update here when I receive my passport back. I am still happy, since total processing for me was about 9 months :D

BTW, did anyone land through Peace Arch (Vancouver) crossing recently? I will do it with administrative refusal (don't have a USA visa), so I wanna know do they make any problems in this case?

I really love when I read someone got passport request! Please share the good news with us!!

Yes! Keep the good news coming!! We're 7 months in and figure we have another 10+ months to go brut can't help but get my hopes up when I hear there are exceptions to the 17 month quote...and yes, I know it's just an estimation!

did anybody get e mail for passport request this week
