Hey everyone,

my husband got an email requesting a new original copy of the police check just days after our application officially went to "In Process".
They didn't request a new medical, does this mean that maybe he won't need to redo medical?
If anyone has had any experience with this please let me know! :D

Hello Mikac,
From your timeline your med expired last month. I think you should be ok and may not need to redo the medical. If they start your process within a year since your medical then they can extend your medical for another year.

Hi Alek, did you send them another e-mail ? Or did you just receive the interview date ? Is the date more than 1 month away ? thanks !

Hi,
They just sent me the email, but the email I rec'd regarding we are queue for interview was reply from an angry email I had sent. I used their words against them and told them we were being mistreated. And within a week a rec'd both emails. Our interview is on dec 18. I suggest you act snd say something or else they will drag it.. Like they have. This is my advise, but do what you feel is best :) best of luck. Hope this ends soon

Hi guys,

We've been gathering things to send as proof of continuing communication as requested by Vienna..we ended up with about 80 pages of Viber calls, Facebook posts and messages, Skype..and that's after deleting and trying to make it less pages.
Do you think this is too much?
We just don't want to send too little, but is this too much?

Send them everything. They want more proof? They will get it ;-)

I don't mean to pry but is your hubby TedStankovich? lol I gave him some advice for additional information just yesterday here on the forum. Anyway, my advice is to send EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!! They asked for more
info, so you better send it! Send everything you can think of, nothing is too much! My entire package weighed 5-6 kg by the time I was ready to apply. We had lots of skype, facebook and viber chats printed plus my plane tickets and lots of photos from the past 4 years!
Basically anything you think is worth sending, you should do it! :)

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to send you a short overview of my timeline. I think this may be helpful to all of you who are still waiting for their Confirmations of Permanent Residence. I also updated it on the Vienna timeline spreadsheet (under DutchCanadian).

Medicals done: August 1, 2013
Application sent: September 6, 2013
AOR Missassauga: September 14, 2013
Sponsorship approved and sent to Vienna: September 24, 2013
AOR Vienna: not received
Vienna started processing: September 25, 2014
Decision made: October 9, 2014
COPR received in mail: October 15, 2014
Deadline for landing: October 2, 2015

I have an appointment to land on October 29, 2014. As I am in Canada right now, I do not have to cross the border and re-enter, but in some cases, this is the preferred option as it may be a faster way to get your PR.

We have received no requests for additional information, but I did send my marriage certificate and additional pictures (of the last year and particularly our wedding) in September 2014.

Can any knowledge person tell me if Departure Order become Deportation Order even if the person has a Certificate of Departure that they (Refugee) left Canada in less than 30 days and still require an ARC which adds 6-12 months to your waiting time for Processing.

I read somewhere they have tightened the language but only time will tell us if this equates to tighter enforcement. We were told that if we have Certificate of Departure an ARC is not required.

The number you can call is on the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). It is the general CIC number for within Canada. You can schedule an appointment at the office that is closest to you.

@ NLCAN: I have almost the same timeline as you. Mine got transferred to Vienna around the same time. I haven't received anything from them so far. ECAS is still the same before. I hope they do it soon. I was wondering though what this appointment will do? I'm also already in Canada. Is it not easier to go to he boarder real quick. Like the day when you get your papers?? The PR card comes later anyway right? What would go faster?

Congratulations Radovane!!!! I'm so happy when I see people getting good news!
Can I ask you one question, after your application went to "in process" did they ask you for additional documents before they asked for your passport? They just asked my husband for a new police certificate so we're hoping this is the end! :)
