Just want to let everyone know this morning my wife got her passport request.
It took just 27 days after her second medical so i think it has definately sped up the process since panel physicians have gone to e-medical

I want to thank everyone for their support, advice and friendships that have developed in this forum and with some to continue when we all arrive in canada. Even though we still have a bit to go...but from the day they receieved our app until today its been 439 days of ups and downs, joy and frustration.

Sometimes you wonder will this ever happen and when will it all be over. This is just too long of a wait and i hope they reduce waiting times in the near future for the ones just applying or in the middle of the process.

Once again thank you all and good luck to everyone that is in canada and to those still waiting.

This is not true. The officer handling your file or even the VO (Vienna) don't have anything to do with ATIP (the government section that handles GCMS notes requests). the only way to slow down your process is if you order the ACTUAL immigration file, because in that case they would have to pull your file out and make copies.

When you order GCMS notes, you must order "Notes in electronic file". So all that ATIP does, is look your file up in the data base (all info is stored electronically), make a copy of it and send it to your email address.

There are people in this forum that have ordered the notes EVERY month, and they received their PR within the time frame (some even faster).

When I open my eCAS it is: we received yr application .....sept.2013.

there is no,nothing about my medical.
Should I call Vienna and ask them did they received my medical? I assumed they did,but they didn't write it. I see others say that they write it in their eCAS. ???

Dont want to add you your panic but mine says:
1.application received sept ...
2. Medical results received sept...

The ecas may not be so reliable so i. Would email and ask before panicing though their reply may be vague. Hopefully you made copies of it and can send it to them if they did loose it. Gluck

Ordering the electronic file of your application does not affect your processing time. I applied for them twice and received my COPR in under 12 months
