Thanks for the info. In the email they sent for PPR did they mention you can go in person? Ive seen so many different versions of PPR's that in some they just say to send it by post somehow.

Happy Easter to all!!! Hristos Voskrse!!! :)

Hello Everyone,

Ive been sitting here for about an hour going through everyone's comments and concerns and i have a few myself lol. I am a Canadian citizen i got married in august of 2013 in Bosnia and i am still living here with my husband because i didn't want to go through long distance all over again we sent out our documents to Mississauga in Feb 2014 and in March i got an e-mail letting me know that the documents have been sent out to Vienna. Now I've been checking my application status for my husband regularly and as in for the medical records a decision has been made in March. I still haven't gotten anything from them :S, but last month i did get an e-mailing requesting for my husband to fix up his dates and not leave gaps in time on SCHEDULE A form and the form was sent out 3 days later. I want to know if they got the document and how long does it take for them to start processing my husbands file again and was i suppose to get any kind of email from the officers since the medical records status has been changed to "decision made" ?

Positive Thinking everyone , we will all get there eventually :)

Hello and welcome here!
Decision made means that you're able to sponsor your husband, and your file has been sent to Vienna office. :) Now, officers in Vienna don't have any obligation to answer you during the period of processing your application, and for Vienna it's 14+ months. :-\ According to that, I really doubt that they'd answer anything to you, since they got your application only a month ago.. Be prepared to wait months until you hear anything from them. :-\ Most of us here have been waiting a year or more, and the earliest time I've read here that someone from Bosnia got it's PPR is about 9 months, after Vienna received your file... Be patient, that's the key! :) :)

Hi there. We are in similar situation, just waiting in Zemun/Serbia instead. They asked me from Vienna in March to send certificate from police instead of the court, and after that, I tried to find out if they received it.
First it came automatic answer - do not contact us before one month expires. I did ask again over e-mail if they received it, one month after their request. They replied on that one.
Everything is fine, and to wait another 13 months, they said...

My wife called this morning and has her medical on the 30th. She told me the doctor asked us to email some number? Has anyone else that had to redo a medical send or give them your file number or uci number ahead of time?

Also i checked e-cas today just curious and it changed to in process and that they starting processing april 17, 2014. Hahahahaha 1 year 1 month 3 days after applying. Does that mean when they ask for additional documents they haven't even started yet?

Hi Milance,
They asked my husband to bring in the form and the letter he received from Vienna, but when he went to book the appointment they just checked that he was in the system. So, I wouldn't worry about it, just send it to them. As for the e-cas, it's very unreliable and not updated as it should be. Our e-cas changed to decesion made 5 days after the visa was given, so about 2 weeks after the PPR. I think, once the new medical is done they will request the passport shortly after. Get ready...she is coming soon :D

Thanks :) i think my wife said they need it to check her in the system. I would love to go in and overhaul their system lol. Show them how to process applications lol.

I clicked on the London thread by accident and can't believe how fast everybody gets their PR. September applicant DM and October applicant in process. Great. And everybody in Vienna here waits for over a year / year and a half >:(

Yea and how about LA with a 26 month wait time. For the waiting families, these wait times are totally unacceptable and happen only because those processing the apps seem to be unaccountable to anyone.

Hi emira,
Moj muz je isto iz bosne.. i also got married in aug but i applied on sept 19, got approved as sponsor 10 day later and the status of my application has not changed since:( its very depressing as i thought it would take about 5 months like it has with many other people i know who sponsored 3-5 years ago. All that to say i jut got back today from visiting him and still am hopeful for a 9-10 month max waiting period ( i know it could be more but the thought of 13 months is way too depressing!) i will keep u posted if we hear anything. Our case it quite simple we r the same age, no previous marriages,no kids, no millitary background, 4 year relationship prior to marriage. Not sure why they need this much time but regardless you are very lucky to be able to stay in bosna for an extended period of time :)

Hiya Vanessa

London yes but don't forget Paris. All applicants from my February 2013 from Paris were expedited in less than 4 months... Wham Bam

And Rome is shooting off its applicants in 6-8 months max..

I still can't believe they transferred your file to LA. It's not fair at all

I usually never check the other VO's because it's too depressing. I just clicked in the wrong line with my big finger on my small phone screen ;-)

Hi Milan and all

After checking my e-Cas daily for the past 13 months and only seeing the Applications Received in Feb 2013 and Medicals Received, today Monday 21st of April one day after Easter I was sitting here bored to my bones and said to my self : Ok lets do the routine again and get disappointed one more time! So I hit the button and here it goes!

IN PROCESS finallyyyyyy

Hold on your your socks boys and girls as I have a feeling that by the end of this week you will all get some sort of news from Vienna!

Oh BTW...Last week I had another set of good news as the Athens embassy sent us our baby's Canadian citizenship...this week we will be sending in the apps for her passport and hoping that in 20 days they will send it back ready for use...Hopefully by then Aspa's COPR will be issued so we can finally move on to our new lives!

Regards

Tom and family
