Sanben, will do.

I do expect that Ottawa has picked it up by now and will forward the results shortly, if they aren't already in the mail.
We had some holidays last month as well, so it should be any time now.

I wish i could contact Ottawa though to verify they received them yet.

Oh well

Hey Everybody,

I am sponsoring my wife whose a german citizen. Her file is pretty straight forward. No military service, German citizen, Married solemanized in Canada, She is living with me. Everything is fine but the immigration office in Vienna is sending us request for random forms which we have already filled and submitted.

First they asked us to fill the Background Check form (they attached a Word form with Question 8 and Question 12 from the Background information forms)
Then Now they have asked us to send them the Family Information form.

I mean I dont know why they are doing this. If they keep on asking for all the forms again from us its going to take forever for file to finish. Does anybody else have such experience? please advise if anyone knows why they could be potentially doing this :(

Hi and welcome to the forum!
It's a good idea to re post this message to the main body of the Family Class thread! : http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/family-class-sponsorship-b5.0/
Of course you are here in the correct thread for your VO but there are more people who are reading it and could answer you.

Good luck

Hi All,

I am sponsoring my wife for Bosnia. We are Both Serbian. I have to say that application forms are so confusing and many cases do not make sense at all, but that is immigration what else can you expect from them.

Is there anyone here who would like to share their most recent experience for countries form Former Yugoslavia. You send me PM or leave replay here.

Thank You Zeljko

Zdravo Zeljko
I am Greek (Canadian citizen-sponsor) and my spouse is Macedonian and we both live in between our two countries. So most of the info on the Applicants part would be the same as ours.
First of all in order for people to assist you here you must tell us if this app is from inland or outland. I assume it is outland (that is your VO is Vienna)
Are you the sponsor in Canada now or in Serbia?
Have you already applied or are you still in the process of filling out apps?
Please try to give this thread more info so we can be able to assist you efficiently

Application is outland

I am currently in Canada, and I believe that for Bosnian citizens immigration process is in Vienna
I am still in process of filling up application.

Hi Zeljko,
I don't think anyone can give you useful advice without knowing your case specifically. The fact that your wife comes from Bosnia vs. other country doesn't really matter.
Usually, applications for women get processed faster then for men (background checks tend to be shorter), same thing if she only lived in her home country. If she lived in several places/travelled for extended periods that can lengthen the background check.
If everything else is okay (you have dated for a while, have no previous marriages, enough proof that the marriage is legit, i.e. proof of travelling together, pics etc) your case should be straightforward.
Then there is the added element of randomness and luck. Some people here got their PRs incredibly quickly while others have been waiting for quite a while (including us!). Just pray that you will fall in the former category!
Cheers and good luck!
