Thank you waikiki. The fact that she was canadian old lady upseting me the most, I didnt expect that. I live in Canada almost 8 years and never faced such a disgusting treatment and unproffessional behaviour. She made him feel that he is in court with a criminal case.

Thank you messenger. appeal may take up to 2 years (i hope not). We are young couple and want to start family, but it is not possible if we dont know where we will be tomorrow. We will definitely appeal.

SanBean, right now we are trying to gather as much info as possible. After we will receive official refusal letter with apeal forms i will send it to whatever apeal address and then will go from there.
The behaviour was disgusting i still cant believe that she was canadian, would never expect that.

Anyone here a Canadian citizen who got married in Serbia? I am a Canadian citizen so what documents do I need and how do I obtain them? Marriages in Serbia are recognized by Canada so I'm sure the amount of documentation needed to be married there is not a lot? Please let me know!

You don't need to Vienna for interview. They organize interviews near you. I was to Pristine. That is less then 100 km. I hope you will not need an interview.

In my experience, you do have to go to Vienna. My friend had to go from Toronto to Vienna to have an interview (she is bringing her husband from Serbia) which is crazy because she is in Canada and my cousin had to from Belgrade to Vienna for his interview. They organize interviews at the main visa office in Europe which is Vienna, therefore, all interviews take place there.

I hope you're right haha. I don't think I will require an interview I was just curious! That would be expensive because I am already in Canada ! Lol.

So do I have to wait 55 days from when they say they received it (jan 22) or 55 dy from when they sent me an email (feb 5, which I have been told is the AOR).

That is crazy! I am the applicant and my boyfriend is the sponsor and we are both in Canada. He is Canadian and I am Dutch. If, god forbid, they request an interview, will we both need to attend? I am assuming so.. Just really hope we dont need one!

Hello Mikac15 and Lv.f

After 5 months in this forum this is the first time I hear that both sponsor and applicant go to interviews.
Mikac where did you hear that? You say your friend who is a sponsor had to go from Canada to Vienna? Well correct me if I am wrong but this couldn't happen.
Only the applicant for immigration attends the interview. The sponsor's part ends after stage 1 approval!

Lv.f...Do not panic. Lets hear some other members on the subject first!
