nole73 they didnt ask me to sign anything so I think they might accept issuing you her COPR.. but not sure if you can drop the documents and get COPR same day

Regardless, I will drop off the documents as it is much faster than sending them (and price-wise pretty much the same when compared to DHL). I'll ask them if they can issue COPR before the end of the day... unless they need to do additional checks.

Dear friends, I just got reply from Vienna. They told me that my application is pending background checks. I have done medical in May and I have 3rd line on ECAS (med. results have been received) since June. So my question is does anyone knows what is included in these background checks and how long they last?
(I applied in FSW category).

Thanks upfront. :)

I guess it depends from one person to another, your personal/military/travel history. We've been in background checks for a good 6 weeks, I contacted them again recently and they just replied saying that background checks take "a few weeks or longer". So our wait continues. Hopefully for you it will be faster.

My military booklet is clean, I was never involved in any criminal activity and still it has been 6 months since our medical. Hopefully they will finish this background checks soon. We are desperate. :( >:(

if you are from balkan area they will aske you for the military booklet , my husband is clear too from military , but they need to have proof that he never been in military , we found that ppaper , and next week we are sending to Vienna , and i hope aftre that this is the last stage .and they dont need anything else, even they said this is the last thing they need.

europe i m not so sure about that, i m from Serbia and they didnt ask for my military book, nor proof, gave me COPR straight away and even I was surprised because I got prepared for long wait till background checks are done... so really I think it varies from case to case... from officer in VO to officer

Mirjana Mp contaxcted the Vienna embassy and embassy and asked whoever is in balkan area part of Yugoslavia we need the Military booklet , and you know why they are asking for that paper , because it was war in Yugoslavia, in my country never was watr, and our people and our nationality never been in the war... and most of them is for Serbia and you guys were hit by Nato during that time in 1999.

Thank you very much nole73...Very kind of you

I send a message to VO last week, we got an answer today, and they said that our case remain under background verifications, ase we were living before in Venezuela I guess that they still waiting for Local Police verifications, which take so long, and its made only through the Embasy. Well.... at least they still working.
Have a nice weekend!!!

I received an email from VO that COPR will be issued on the very same day when the police certificate and passport are brought to the embassy. Therefore, we're almost done... ;D

Congrats, wish you all the best in new life there. :) When do you plan to go if it's not secret?
