I'm hoping the same for us - no criminal background, only lived in one country, no kids or previous marriage and our relationship is definitely genuine... BUT you'll never know what the person thinks who looks at the applications :/

I'm hoping to land before Christmas... haha, we'll see...

I got good news!!!!! I just received AOR of vienna :-) so happy!!!! They said it may take 7 months to process and that i shouldnt contact them untill 3 months have past.

Congrats!!! Let's go Vienna let's go!!!

great news Tipha, so finally some movement from Vienna office, if they were on vacation lets hope they'll pick up and be much faster now

I just sent a new email and it's the first time I received an automated generated message, a confirmation, that I have sent a case specific enquiry. I didn't receive that previously, does that mean, they never received my old emails ???

hmm interressting, i have no idea....but as it seems theres now some movement over all, it really might have been they had less officers working cause of vacations and they just werent able to respond to all emails, but thats a guess, not more. But its good you heard of them now....

Does anyone know if Monikita was able to get a status inquiry response from Vienna?
Her file has been with them the longest from our group. I'm right behind her, it will be 3 months next week, so I'm waiting to send an email in regards to a status update...;)

What I wonder is what the "It could take 7 months, but you should hear from us in 3 months" means.

Does that mean that if they just don't get to ours and three months are up, they'll just write to say "we aren't done yet"? Or does that mean that within 3 months, they'll have assessed our case and determined whether there is anything that needs to be cleared up?

Also, last time I sent them an update (change of mailing address) I did get an automated response. I hear that the vacation is probably draining their otherwise-potential-work-hours.

the people that got AOR in january (people that applied end last year) got visa's issued quiet fast in this 3 months periode, as i see it on the spreadsheet. I think arround march/april Berlin closed? and maybe that caused to a bit delay now too. I think 3 months they need to go through the file and check all and in the best case they can already make a desicion. If theres anything unclear though or backgound checks taking longer, interview requiered, medical expired etc., then i guess it can take up to 7 or 9 months.

Hi Guerrich,

My understanding is that within these '3 months' the VO should have contacted you (based on all the other PR members previous to 2012). Within these 3 months, they would have assessed your file and asked for additional documents, missing documents, payments, interview etc. Best case scenario, they would have given you PR within these 3 months. However, with Berlin office closing and summer holidays, Monikita has passed her 3 month mark and I'm almost there. No one has contacted either of us for anything. I believe they'll eventually respond saying your file is 'in process'.

The 7 months is the average time it takes for them to process PR applications. I believe that is what they send everyone originally from Berlin Office. I say this because our file is originally from Vienna and it says average processing time is 9 months. Therefore, they are only stating CIC statistics....

Hope this helps

Thanks TVG! I will definetly send Vienna an email next week (3 months is next week :(). Although, I was hoping I wouldn't have to...

I dont have enough posts to send personal messages, sorry Bobbi.

Its kinda depressing when you see how fast VO was finishing application last year compared to all the silence now, but they need to start working fast, our VO should be with less cases and dont think we should be the slowest ones, Berlin was closed but according to forum there doesnt seem like too much applicants got their files transfered, holidays should be over soon, so lets hope we all gonna have September full of joy and good news

No worries. Once you get 10 posts your can reply :)

Yeah I figure out I need to express my frustration more often
