I really hope that you guys will hear some good news very soon! If they're on summer vacation, they should return to their offices well rested and eager to tackle all those applications!!

I still haven't heard anything for stage 1 and we're on day 96 now, so hopefully my file will be transfered to Vienna very soon as well!!

Danke!!! My husband is going to call cic tomorrow if we don't hear anything today.. I called on Friday but they wouldn't give me any information because I'm not the sponsor -.- Others who submitted their app on the same day as we did got their approvals this week, so they should be working on ours by now as well!!

I received out GCMS notes today. According to the notes, from May 9 (file transfered)-July 20 (notes ordered), Vienna has NOT started any of the 3 background checks...
I would like to know what my file is doing just sitting there?? I would have been pleased to at least see 'In Progress' for 1 out of the 3 catergories.
Very discouraging...

Wow, that's bad. I would suppose it's because of Berlin's VO closing down? But then again, I'm not getting any responses to my emails even though I am originally a Berlin applicant...
What does ecas show in your case? Just application received or in process (which would be silly since they are obviously not processing it yet)?

We finally got our sponsorship approval (well, we called cic, but the approval letter is on the way) our application was sent to Vienna on August 20!!!

Aside from that: I hope that you'll get your sponsor approval soon! Have you been able to call them yet? 96 days is really long

I'm pretty sure it was 9 months before as well, so it seams like closing the Berlin office might not have such a big effect on Vienna. Let's hope so!

We called this morning and they said that the approval letter was sent to us on Aug 20!!

And ya seems like the processing times didnt go up or not much, i think too, it was 8 or 9 months before.

haha you say it! I didnt want to mention it again, since i complained about it enough I apologize if they really got a lot work and people on vacation, but i hope they pick it up a bit more and we hear some news soon

Quick question.. When Vienna updates a change in status like "in process" will this show in the immigration file or UCI number. The reason I'm asking is that my UCI number never worked so we only check the file number! Is that enough? Is that the one that gets updated? I just don't want to miss any information.

As far i know the UCI is for sponsor, so its only for that part, stage one. The application file number is for the applicant and stage 2 and thats where you would see the updat for PR.

I can log into ECAS with my wife's (the sponsor) UCI, my own UCI from a previous visa application, and the application number. All three show the same information at the moment (which is "application received"). One would think that it doesn't really matter with which ID you log in. But I'm not totally sure.
