I was thinking about doing that, but contacted my MP first so now I know what's going on with my file. I've read it will take 30 days to receive them. This is the form I've found: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdfcgnyyz said:I am just wondering.. has anybody requested the CAIPS notes on their case? If so: What was the process for that and how long did it take?
Don't know the exact meaning. But here is a message from user mikeramma that contains a list of most of the acronyms used in this boardmase said:What is a CAIPS notes????? :'( :'( :'(
CAIPS-, FOSS-, and GCMS-notes all refer to notes that the CIC has added to your file. I think of it like a more extensive version of what you see in ECas, that also gives info on what has happened with the file, what will happen next and when... There are a lot of providers out there offering to help you access this data for a fee ($30-$100), but you can apparently get it all for $5 under the Access to Information Act or for $0 under the Privacy Act (when you're in Canada or have a Canadian mail address if I understand it correctly).mase said:What is a CAIPS notes????? :'( :'( :'(

I dont know honestly what to say , i thought to request that , but i know that they are going to ask for the medical , again to redo , and i know Vienna Embassy is busy with the files, because all the job is now for them , they do have files , for immigratiion , tourist Visa, File for students visa, fils for skills workers, etc. but why is taking for us forvere to close the process and for someone is shorter.i feel like i am going ot emial them again and see where i am now with the processSanBen said:yep, that's what I'm afraid of as well but there's nothing we can do but wait it out.
I'm going to request the notes to see where they're at. It's going to be a $5 well spent. Just not sure if I should request the electronic or physical file. Does anyone have experience with this?
IMO, order Electronic files. Because getting a copy of physical file takes longer and can cause further delays to processing of application.SanBen said:yep, that's what I'm afraid of as well but there's nothing we can do but wait it out.
