    VIENNA OFFICE

I officially landed two days ago without any problems! Three short conversations - one at the regular booths, one with an immigration officer, and one with a customs officer - and I was officially a permanent resident. Now, I don't want to encourage anyone to take the risk and I may well have...

A little out of the blue (what with ECas down and all), but I received my COPR! Good luck to all the rest of you!

Thank you! Things get a lot more "real" when you actually hold the COPR in your hands, so it's a mixed feeling of joy, excitement and a bit of "this is it" feeling. Hard to describe what's going on in my head right now. :D I'm not quite sure on how it arrived, since the neighbours accepted the...

So, completely out-of-the-blue I just received my COPR. I'm stunned! A happy stunned, of course, but stunned nonetheless. It says "Not valid for travel" across the whole page, though... Anybody know what that means?

ECas hasn't been working for a few days now... Not sure if I saw it in this thread or in another, but I thought it was kind of a fitting way to look at it: "Would you rather have the frustration of not being able to log in at all or the frustration of seeing that the status still hasn't...

Does anybody else think that it's a cruel joke that the confirmation message the Vienna office sends out shows up in my gmails as: Re: F000XXXXXX - M_____ N____ - Permanent Residence in Canada - Confirmation Seriously.. my heart skipped a beat or two before realizing that this is just an...

My application has been "in process" since Nov 20th and I haven't heard a thing from my VO (Vienna)... Is that a reason for concern or is not hearing anything generally considered to be a good thing?

Just booked a flight for the Easter holidays. I may not be allowed to work or live there permanently yet, but nobody said I couldn't at least visit.

Wonder what you mean with "you're applying for her living in Vienna". So you're doing the PR application just for her to have the option of moving to Canada later on? Or do you mean to say that she'll be living in Vienna until the PR application is processed? If it's the first, keep in mind the...

Still no news for me... We asked our MP - nothing. We sent an email to Vienna - nothing. Well, I suppose I'm still happy for everyone else!

Well, it's my birthday today and - no offense to any of you - but this message board by its very nature is probably one of the sader places in the world to celebrate this occasion. Let's hope for an afternoon b-day gift from the CIC (even though my hope is slim to none).

CAIPS-, FOSS-, and GCMS-notes all refer to notes that the CIC has added to your file. I think of it like a more extensive version of what you see in ECas, that also gives info on what has happened with the file, what will happen next and when... There are a lot of providers out there offering to...

Just a friendly reminder to potential new readers among us Vienna applicants that there is a spreadsheet to track our progress, which can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjvSDmSjyQZ0dE5DZk9Ua2ViTDRGZXhrM0w3V2xtdVE#gid=0

If only it was that easy... -.- I don't know the answer to your question, but would think that it's enough to give them your new adress (unless perhaps if your Mom has a different last name and mail wouldn't necessarily reach you at the new adress).

Unfortunate lack of Christmas miracles in my Ecas.. everything still says "in process" with no word from them on anything since they started processing it on Nov 26th... I'm probably beating a dead horse in this forum, but in our age of technology why can't they make this process more...
