Europe, it is not unusual that it is in process since October and no answer yet, since background and security checks may take a couple of months, that is not unusual, it could even take 6 months and more (not necessarily in your case, I am just saying. But what I do not understand is, you applied in February, so how come it took 8 months to get that "in process"? What did they do before the interview? Did they ask for additional documents? Or did they start working on those checks only after the interview? What happened before they asked for interview?

They started on February and i didnt hear from them anything until October for the interveiw, no they had all the documents they didnt require any documents , the officer who interview my husband said all the documents are fine , just wait to call you for the visa, after 1 month of his interveiw i didint had any news , i contacted MP and MP contact Vienna and the officer told them that he need his military backround , we send this paper like 3 weeks ago , and still we are in Process,

It's official, got my COPR delivered to me today!!!!

Tonight will be celebration night in Vancouver, for anyone who is still waiting: keep it up!!!

I applied on June 10, my file got transferred to Vienna on August 28, November 20 I got a request for additional documents (Declaration of common-law) and December 17 my application was approved.

Got my COPR handed to me yesterday

I guess it depends on one's backgound, where you are from...

Europe, so for 4months, nothing was done until the interview? I wonder if they had done the checks before the interview or if they just started now, It is frustrating, I know, but maybe this is soon over for you, I wish you luck.

I am also in Vancouver. How did you recieve the COPR? mail or email? And like myself you are already in Vancouver, how do you activate the permnament resesidence status? I think it's called landing? Do you have to go down to US border or can you do it somewhere in Vancouver?

Waikiki , they starthis backround check aftre the interview, they requested one document we sent that paper, but no miracle yet , i hope january is going to be better month for all of us who are waiting .

why didn't they request interview earlier? Antways, maybe checks won't take that long anymore/
