Thanks Vats! I figured that would be the best NOC code to apply with. However, since he will have an offer of arranged employment I don't believe that he needs to apply with one of the noc occupations on the list? Is this correct?

I am just beginning the research on how to successfully sponsor and hire a friend of mine to work for my construction company. Just realized my profile still contains all the info from my wife's spousal sponsorship, which is complete and not related to this inquiry.

So since CIC changed the rules a couple months ago, does every FSW application need to have a LMO? I am a Canadian small businesses owner and would like to sponsor a friend for PR. I work in construction and my friend has an engineering degree. Is my first step to advertise for a month and...

Is this weird? need some help here!!

Medical exams are only valid for 1 year from the date of the chest xray. So if you did the medical exam as late as 10 months ago + they may ask you to redo medical. Once you receive the COPR you have to land before your most recent medical results expire ( ie, 1 year after the medical tests)

UK Citizen marrying Canadian - I've so many questions!

The doctor's office you make the appointment should know exactly what you need and be able to tell you what to do if they are CIC cerified doctor. Yes! wait before doing the medical if you don't plan of sending in your application for a few months. I would go in to do your medical maybe 2...

UK Citizen marrying Canadian - I've so many questions!

Apply outland, it's not really a close decision imo. It sucks to be apart for nine months, but applying inland and not being able to work or travel (see family and friends) for two years will make you miserable and is not a good way to start your marriage. Also if you really want to see each...

I think you can update address right on ECAS, probably better than calling/emailing them. I too would be hesitant to mess with anything, but I think it's more risky not to do something in this case. Something small and stupid like this can cause 1-2 month delays with these people. Our ECAS...

Thanks! It came via registered mail that required a signature to be delivered. We weren't home at the time they came, so they left a notice telling us to pick it up at the local post office

Hi, We were lucky enough to receive our COPR this afternoon. Is there any problem with "landing" on a Sunday? We are planning on driving down to the Peace Arch border from Vancouver.

No requests from them what so ever. All the info I have got since the AOR email I received back in December has been on ECAS. (the "in process" and "decision made") After waiting three months after AOR I sent them an email and never heard back. After receiving DM I sent them a case specific...
