anyone hear anything from Vienna lately?

Hi all,

We applied for parents sponsorship, CIC approved our application and since we live in Montreal we had to obtain CSQs for our parents, which we did. MIDI issued CSQs on August 10th and in the letter they stated that VIENNA office has been notified so now we are waiting for I guess request for medicals and police certificates for parents. Unfortunately we havent heard anything from Vienna since then!

Is there anyone with similar experience? Has anybody heard from Vienna wrt PGP application?

Hey fellow applicants,

my future wife and I are readying our application under family class sponsorship. She lives in Canada and Im in Germany. We gathered pretty much al the documents needed Im just missing a few thngs. One of which are affidavits and translations of my certificate of conduct. I dont really understand what Immigration Canada expects there.

Heres what I get:
Certified copies must be done by a notary public. Yeah thats understandable.
Translations must be done by a certified translator. Yup, got one.

Heres what I dont get:
The translations must be accompanied by an affidavit.

I understand what an affidavit is, but I cant see how this goes together? Do I have to have a translator that is a notary public aswell? Does the translator has to do his translation while the notary public is watching him? Do I have to bring the translator with me to the notary public so he can swear under oath that his translations are true and certified?

Im mildy confused on this part and I hope some of you might be able to help me. Any helpful comment is highly appreciated.

Hi,

If you are providing translations from a certified translator then no need for affidavit.

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response. I do not know why do you need to provide the above mentioned documents? If they are meant as a proof for your relationship/marriage then yes provide as many documents as you can. If the documents are in a language other than English/French then they should be accompanied with certified translations.

I logged into mycic today and aparently my application has been approved. We applied in june and on December got a document request. I didn't receive any confirmation letter or paspport request. Does anybody know when they will send me my letter so I can book my flights?

We applied in june. Pretty standard common law sponsorship. Howlong would it take to mail te copr from vienna to CANADA?

My application was received by CIC on Dec. 13, confirmed on Dec. 23 and approval as a sponsor on Jan. 11. We are now waiting for processing in Vienna. Is there a spreadsheet somewhere I can add my details to and see the rolling processing times?

Check the thread for when you applied and sent your application to Mississauga. Looks like you'd be in the December thread.

On the website, it says that the processing time for Vienna is 9 months. Vienna got my paperwork on November 3rd and still haven't heard anything. So you have a long wait ahead of you.

There isn't a specific spreadsheet for Vienna. But if you look at the thread for December (when you sent in your paperwork) there should be a link for a spreadsheet and you add your info there. For example, I'm in the September thread. Also the only Vienna applicant there.

I also go back and look at threads from April, May and look for Vienna participants.
