Appreciated you answer + encouragement.

Now, the difference is "person', "personal history".

I know she is courageous as a person. Our "personal History" part that is 'RED FLAG" is we started communicating in October '15 and married in December '15 (VERY SHORT TIME). However, we are born and raised in same neighbourhood. Separated for about 15 years. When we found each other, it was just amazing surprise and required RE-KINDLING. My visiting was 2 weeks when we were married. Since then we are communicating daily. and will update them by sending monthly call logs. We are hoping DM in our favour soon than planning another visit. What else?

Barse,
That is exactly what I was worried about. Our relationship started in 2014 and I got married 10 months later. On my first visit to him we got married! I had only spent 3 weeks with him, I have not been back since. We continue our relationship communicating everyday. We had tones of proof but it was not enough to convince the officer otherwise,
so my husband was called for an interview. Don't worry too much as long as your relationship is genuine you should be fine. The area of concerns were age difference and distance. I am 10 years older than my husband. :)

Hi,

If it's appropriate to share, what were your red flags according the officer?

I can see the value of this forum now, appreciated. Yes, one there red flag of mine is age difference to - I am 14 yrs older. But in my culture, that is very well acceptable and man is expected to be so or even older. So, the issue is officer's ability to understand diversity - off course, i hope they do ;D

Yep, worry doesn't help, what is important is know own 'red flags', be prepared on it.

It is great hope I got from you that it is done within less than 6 months. I hope that mine will be done by end of this summer too :D
Thanks again.

That is great! Keep the faith. I know alot of things run through your mind, I know that very well! My previous relationship was of 20 years and children too so I knew that would be a concern in their eyes. Stay strong and good luck!!

Yep!
Once you know what you're doing then you gotta know how you deal with :P

Just some terms/concepts are naive to me - what is a 'note' to order? Can I request for their comments on my file? With apology :'(

Hello Everyone.

I have a question. After a quick approval of my Canadian spouse ( 2 weeks ) my application was processed in Ottawa ( March 29-2016 )and sent to Vienna ( May 5-2016) where it will be finalized. Online it says a decision has been made. I got a letter with a final request and final steps I have to take before my immigration documents are printed. As a Dutch citizen I am Visa exempt. As the letter is not very clear as actions required are not applicable I am not sure what to do. I sent a reply email to the vienna office if any actions are required on my side or if nothing is applicable the CoPR will be mailed to my address. I just wondered if anyone here on the forum could shine a light on this situation .

1. Pay Fees. I paid the fee's upfront
2. Send two (2) photographs as the the requirements changed after Jan 1 2016. I submitted 8 passport sized photographs that were taken in Jan 2016 and match the new requirements.
3. Notify Change in passport: Not applicable
4. confirm adress: I confirmed my Dutch address in a email reply to the vienna office.
5. mail documents to Vienna office if applicable. Not applicable as far as I know.

Anyone a clue if I should just wait for my CoPR to be send ? I am excited but also a little bit confused by this last letter. Hopefully I will get a response to my email soon from the Vienna office.

Thanks everyone and good luck with the process.

Arjen

There is another member on the Vienna thread sponsoring refugee spouse. Be sure to make it to the interview. He could not due to status and has been waiting a long time.

As far as the process goes you should expect COPR in the mail soon. Happy landing :)

He's from Iraq, he had his residency in Europe then it was removed and he was asked to go back as it's safe. He was going to get it back in January, but he was told that the fact he's married to Canadian he can go live there..!!!
I hope that it will works out for him this time there is no reason to refuse him.... He have been in Europe for over 8 years.
I ve met an Iraqi refuge in the Netherlands where he had his Canadian immigration interview at the Canadian embassy in The Hague .. I believe that if the person is unable to travel they can have the interview at the Canadian embassy where they reside? I provided all the proofs that the relationship is genuine.

Good luck to all of us

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had an update recently with regards to ARC through Vienna. We sent in our application in Jan 2015 and are still waiting. They are not responding to my e-mail even though we are passed the processing time...it seems really hard to find the average time that they take to process the ARC through Vienna...

Thanks!

Hi
My husband applied in April 2015 for his Arc and to date there is no movement on the application. When did you submit your Arc application ?
