Hello everyone, here i come to join the vienna clients. My husband is waiting for his spouse visa approval since January 2013, he's from Belgrade and im here in Canada, pregnant!!! And due in march...im going crazy....this waiting is killing me. Im glad to hear that they are actually working on applications, but am surprised they are not really following the order like it says on their website. Since we sent our application, it has arrived in Vienna in february and since then we have no clue whats going on. Not allowed to contact them before exp of processing time which was 10 mnts at the time we applied and now its 13. :'(
We applied for visitor visa just rcently and got declined :'( :'( maybe we just dont have luck with this.
Has anyone had similar experience, or is in similar situation as us?

Exact same situation here, except I'm sponsoring my wife. Hang in there!

They've rejected her twice since we applied for sponsorship. She visited before though twice.

No, guess I misspoke when I said "exact" same situation. I meant in regards to Vienna. In our GCMS notes there's a "due date" of Jan 24 2014. So my hope is they'll take a glance at it end of this week (or next). I can relate to how you feel.

When you mention "notes" have you requested that recently? I just learned about that i can request on my husbands behalf, but not really understanding their questions hehhe, i don't want to screw anything up, my hormones are a bit out of control now
Was very disappointed when they refused the visitor visa, so i thought i messed up...since they didn't give us a specific answer to y it was refused

They should have checked off reasons why. Wife's reasons were "family ties in Canada", and "current employment situation".

They wrote, it could be because of one of the following: family ties back home,empl. Situation, sponsors empl, id proof..... So does that mean we didnt meet any requirements heheh
I guess we got a moody officer, my friend sponsored her husband for visitor visa...their reason was she didnt have the time to visit him ack home, and he was approved, ours was child birth and refused. Grrr , both her and I are here same situation (shes not pregnant) and her husband and mine both jobless back home. So injust dont get it, i think ill loose all my hair by the time he comes :'(

Has your wife done the medical exam already?
My husband did it when we applied,sooo if they have not started the application he'll have to do it again since it will be 12 mnts since he did it, and they are only valid 12 mnts

I'm sure what they mean by following order is that they start processing applications in the order they have received them. However once they started background and or criminality checks the time it takes for the office which actually performs the check to get back to Vienna varies from applicant to applicant. Therefore the total processing time is different for each applicant. The 13 months posted online is a rough estimate because all it says is that it took on average 13 months for 80% of all applications processed within the last year.

It is however only a statistic about the past and technically has no influence on upcoming applications.

All we can do is be patient and let them do their work. As we have heard multiple times within the last few months the officers at Vienna are very nice and helpful. I am sure they are not postponing applications on purpose.

I undrestand it all. Im just very frustrated cus time is very preciouss to me now and im not so patient anymore :'(

yea man....first in 2014. i hope that everybody else will got their visas like us....i applied on march 28 2013 if i remmember...
